Default As a hardcore X-MEN fan...... Why are you not...

    .... watching The Gifted?

I seen multiple posters claim to be actually avoiding the series.

Alot of fans here are fans of unpopular characters or just generally can't stand Wolverine etc getting all the spotlight. Well The Gifted is like a love letter to the C/D List.

    Thunderbird
    Polaris
    Blink
    Sage
    Stepford Cucooko's

That roster is X-MEN as f*** for a fan of the non Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm etc lovers

So why are you not watching?

The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-MEN with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.

    Are the ratings subpar?

I'm not watching because I'm not interested in the characters on the show. Also a lot of Fox live action productions also seem to have a certain look and pace that I'm not a fan of.

    I'm watching The Gifted.

And I love Thunderbird, Polaris, Blink, Sage and Stepford Cuckoos.

By the way, John Proudstar is my favorite.

C'mon, X-people, So why ar you not watching?

The Strucker family at the center of the show are not appealing IMO. Some of the acting isn’t great. Its a decent show but it’s not great.

Wasn’t impressed with the pilot. I’d rather an animated series honestly, CGI like clone wars...

I prefer my superheroes in comic-book format.

As is the case with the comics, there are better (IMO) alternatives for me to spend my money/time on and the family at the center of the show doesn't appeal to me.

    Too much familly, disney
    Bad acting
    Bad casting
all so boring, typical. Not thrilling, soap opera
    Rant
Jean really is the worst character in Marvel, isn't she?
    Scemma forever Triangle never.
Scott needs an alpha female like Bettsy.
What woman wouldn't be attracted to Scott? He's 100% alpha male who tells the Avengers to go f*#& themselves.
I want cyclops back free from any ginger women to be his own man.
    Logically..
TeenClops should have lusted for Emma & Cuckoos. Especially Stepford Cuckoos! They're teenage triplet clones of his hottest ex, how could he not be?
    End of rant

Even though I'm a fan of some of the characters, and am sure it is an awesome series, I really became jaded by the Fox franchise after X-Men: Apocalypse. I followed the filming, Instagram, twitters, plot points, and actors for that movie... like Jubilee, Pyslocke, and many of the younger mutants. When the film finally came out, I was very let down (probably my fault for being so excited during the filming process...) because of how little Jubilee, Psylocke, the entire mall scene, many scenes being choppy, all came about by the end of it all. I was also bummed that Singer refused to make an extended cut (I loooved the Rogue cut much more than DOFP,) even though tons of fans were requesting it. Seeing how hard the likes of Lana Condor and Olivia Munn worked, and then much of their scenes getting cut- just rubbed me the wrong way.
Not trying to make this a sob story- it just made me not as excited in the franchise, and glad that Disney is taking over.

I watched the first 3 or 4 eps and liked it, especially the small x cast (Polaris, blink, Thunderbird especially). But then life hit me hard with the third suicide of a family member this year and a divorce on Oct. 30th, 2017. And I really wanted to see sage more. She was only in like one episode I saw. I hope to catch up when I can but not within the next few months or so.
