The Black Widow is simply too marvelous. The Widow Black is not.

Mrs. Maximilian Black - a.k.a. Widow Black - could easily fit into the Bat Mythos. Keeping with the reversal, I envision her clad in red clothes with black hourglass symbols. I do not imagine her as Caucasian. From there, the character could go in several directions: from a hypnotist to spidery-powers. I have difficulty deciding a direction for her.

I can say I was truly disappointed in the Batman 66 appearance. She was an egomaniac with a Halloween costume...and very unimpressive. I did like the giant spider named Tallulah.

I was fond of the Peyton Riley version of the Ventriloquist introduced in Paul Dini's Tec run. Using Scarface as a means to cope with the trauma brought upon her abusive husband made her a solid sympathetic villain.

Plus, it still kept the ambiguity of whether the doll was actually alive or the ventriloquist was just controlling it.

Some of my favorites from the animated adaptations include Penguin's cocktail waitress bodyguards Jay, Raven, and Lark, who made a few appearances in TNBA including one where they face off against Roxy Rocket, another underrated cartoon originated cartoon, and also showed up in Mystery of the Batwoman going up against the title character.

Funny thing is DCAU killed off more than the movies ever had(except Sugar and Spice). Yeah, one episode had Ivy make a whole bunch of plant people as minions.... who were actual people. Susan Maguire(/Wayne... he actually marries her) was the best example since as Bruce's wife she gets a lot of screen time. Ivy made dozens of them though. So instead of being a powerful enemy to beat... the plant people get mowed down like cannon fodder.

Another episode had Clayface make a mini-Clayface girl.... who got re-absorbed and lost forever.

I want Peyton Riley to return...but not with Scarface.

I want Baby Doll as the ventriloquist dummy/haunted doll.

I would also like Sugar & Spice as Peyton's henchwomen...but Peyton would Not be called 'Sugar' anymore...that's what Scarface called Peyton.

OMG! Truly a sad episode. An all-time fave (IMHO):
