Alley Cat (who used to originally go by the more awkward She-Cat) was my favorite. Obsessive fangirl gone bitter when Selina refused to take her under her wing.

Like Red Claw, Hella was generic and forgettable. (Also ugly design.)

Well, there was apparently a "Calamity" who was once an assassin trained by David Cain that appeared in Solo #10 (2006) in a story featuring Stephanie Brown as Robin and Cassandra Cain as Batgirl.

During the New 52, there was a new Calamity: Sybil Silverlock, who had uncontolled powers of fire. She was the mother of Olive Silverlock, who was one of the main characters in the recent Gotham Academy books.

Roxy Rocket definitely needs more love
Baby Doll, though I think she's best as a one and done. I didn't like how they brought her back in TNBA, as I like to think she got help after her first appearance and successfully reformed. The ending of that episode was more emotionally powerful than anything in the Nolan trilogy.

Dragon Fly, Tiger Moth and Silken Spider
    Scorpiana
Dala, brought back along with the Monk

I didn’t dislike Hella, but she hasn’t had much characterization, so there’s an opportunity there to develop her. I didn’t hate her design either, but I’d definitely simplify it.

The Calamity i was referring to was Sybil Silverlock i hadn't heard of the David Cain ally.

A few more i thought of...

    Carpenter (Jenna Duffy)
    NoBody (Maya Ducard)
    Scarab (Maat Shadid)

I'm a huge fan of Ratcatcher.

There was someone hanging around in the sort of No Man's Land era, Narcosis or something like that... I felt that wasn't explored enough.

Then I'm sure you were following Otis' appearances in Mother Panic?

Doesn't make it a good idea, it still looked stupid and didn't work imo. And it makes it impossible to take her seriously as a threat.

It’s supposed to look stupid. You’re not supposed to take her seriously. It’s supposed to be funny when Batman has to explain that he’s chasing a bunny girl in fetish gear.

Well, he was reworked a little for that series and was a sometimes supporting character.

I am so glad this thread and the Bette Kane thread are getting the love they deserve. I sometimes felt very alone in my adoration of Bat-Girl and bad gals.

Now that we have a good sized list of villainesses, what would you like to see them do?

How do you envision/empower/revitalize any of the dangerous dames presented here? (It may not happen...but it's fun to talk about!)

    P.S.

I know I'm repeating what Wonder Scott said in the first post of this thread. But I am really enjoying this and want it to continue.

    The Widow Black

The Black Widow is simply too marvelous. The Widow Black is not.

Mrs. Maximilian Black - a.k.a. Widow Black - could easily fit into the Bat Mythos. Keeping with the reversal, I envision her clad in red clothes with black hourglass symbols. I do not imagine her as Caucasian. From there, the character could go in several directions: from a hypnotist to spidery-powers. I have difficulty deciding a direction for her.

I can say I was truly disappointed in the Batman ’66 appearance. She was an egomaniac with a Halloween costume...and very unimpressive. I did like the giant spider named Tallulah.
