I've used photobucket mostly until they got into that exorbitant payment system so now I use imageshack.

LOL photobutcket they promoted and offered free hosting and people took them up on it, now they want money! I get wanting to charge now, but they should have done it for all images going forward. Instead they have left a massive trail of dead image "pollution" across internet and forums.
Can't the web come together and class-action them into honoring what they offered, re-hosting all the images they've replaced with their crap dummy logo. .

I'd say give Icc five more hours. If he doesn't respond, let the runner-up do the next contest.

This sounds right to me. But, I'd add something that gives the winner 24 hours to post a new contest.

Exceptions have been made, but that has been the rule of thumb in the past.

Yeah, it isn't easy to come out on top in this contest. I should know since I went a year and a half between wins. I have no problem giving icct some more time.

Last year for a cover contest I started he won and I PM'd him, but I don't think he saw the PM because when he signed back into CBR he said he was surprised that he had won. It may be that he hasn't turned on the notification setting for PMs.

My two cents---give him some more time. I have only won twice, once I was gone on Wednesday and wasn't able to check this site until later that night, so someone else posted a new thread for me. That was fine, but it doesn't hurt to wait a little while.

Most people here post their entry within the first few days of the new thread being posted, and then we wait until Tuesday to vote. I would actually be okay with waiting until tomorrow.
