Surprised that this bit of tie-in giveaway to Marvel's WAR OF THE REALMS event didn't pop up on my fellow Ultraverse fans radar.

Considering an Image Superhero universe revival could be pressuring the big 2 in digital era it was money spent. As note Authority/Stormwatch aka Justice League, Magestik/Apollo aka Superman, Midnighter aka Batman, Zealot aka Wonder Woman are directly competing with DC properties. I think they have gotten their money worth but not having competitor be stronger and removing concepts that would directly compete with their own.

Prime was cool! Shazam with a twist. For me, the one that had most blockbuster potential was Hardcase. The Strangers, IMHO, would make a great TV series.

Some sad news. One of the architects of the Ultraverse, James Hudnall has passed away at the all too young age of 61 due to heart failure.

I was a big fan of the Malibu Universe.

Ultraforce had a cartoon series as well as a toyline in the 90's:

I love the Ultraverse and I really, really wish there was a way to feasibly resurrect the line. So many fun memories of the comics.

Looks like the veil might be lifting soon. The upcoming Heroflix expansion Black Panther and the Illuminati has a Rune figure. He's seen here at Toyfare and was mentioned by name in the solicitation.

It would be great if they could relaunch the line. I'd prefer it separate from the convoluted mess that the Marvel Universe is. I was a huge collector of comics when the Malibu universe started and had most of the titles. It's been many years since I've read any but would love to see a serious revamp done.

    I forgot about this book:

I'd love to see the a pre-Black September Ultraverse come back. I finished buying the entire collection a few years ago and there are so many fun characters that are just being wasted in limbo.
