Default Flawed Characters most Heroic moments

Anti-heroes are most known for doing some pretty gruesome acts to their enemies but what are some of their most heroic moments you can think of?

I'll start off with The Punisher Netflix series. Frank Saves Karen Page I love the way he instantly covers her up from the incoming gun fire.

    Baron Mordo.

This dude is the scuzziest villain ever. He's cowardly. He's petty. He's sadistic. He sacrifices humans, makes deals with devils, plural, and has an ego a mile wide with far less reason for it than Furnace Face. In short, he's not the respect-worthy villain, he's the villain everyone loves to hate.

To say he is 'flawed' is like saying 'I dropped the bomb and it went off': technically correct, but not really grasping the magnitude of the situation.

So...one day Stephen Strange (undergoing a bit of a mid-life crisis) goes to the Ancient One's Tibetan retreat. He finds Mordo there, now suffering from cancer (it's a thing in Marvel that nothing - not magic, not superscience, nothing - can stop cancer). Mordo begs his forgiveness for all of the crap he has done through the years - he has, apparently, turned over a new life after witnessing his own mortality. Strange says 'Screw you', and leaves, rather honked off.

Stephen then discovers, some time later, that he has cancer as well.

Reasoning (correctly) that someone has done something magical to TRANSFER Mordo's cancer into him, Stephen runs back to Tibet to confront his enemy, only to discover that the Mordo responsible is Mordo's daughter, Astrid. Strange, wrecked from the cancer, gets his rear kicked by Astrid. Mordo, however, does a good bit of acting and manages to get him away from his daughter while talking about all of the horrible revenge he is going to take on Strange.

Once they're alone, he quietly tells Stephen he wasn't kidding before, and reabsorbs the cancer, freeing Stephen. Then there's a fight, and Mordo uses a magical dagger to put down his daughter (not dead, but she's down).

    Then Karl Amadeus Mordo dies.

Annoyance: now he's back, and...what? All of that is gone now? Dammit, Marvel - you should have left him with that, and set up his daughter to take his place (she's there, she's clearly as nutso as he used to be, etc). Freaking comic books.
    Why are we here?

"Superboy Prime (the yelling guy if he needs clarification)..." - Postmania
"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate

    amachi from "worst".

now this guy is a utter piece of ****. he fought in the first year war tournament at suzuran high and was one of the favorites to win it, thus making him the leader of the freshmen. while a powerful fighter, amachi is also a sneaky bastard who uses bribes and intimidation to get what he wants. that is, until he fought the MC of "worst", hana. the two fought in a very quick match and amachi lost, causing him to leave the school. he transfered to rindow high across town where he easily conquered the whole school. using rindow, he creates a base of power that allowed him to created a massive faction that allowed him to conquer the other school in his area. he was also using a gang called the jet black scorpions to stir up **** with the other gangs in the city, weakening them for conquest. sadly, for him, a few missteps drew suzuran into the conflict, resulting in a final showdown with hana and the end of his ambitions. after his loss, amachi lost all his power in rindow, making him a outcast, with only his top lieutenants still with him.

now fast forward to the final big arc. two gangs, the front of armament and the killer moths, ended their war when they realized that their former enemies had joined the manji empire, the largest gang in japan and had planned to use the might of that empire to utterly crush them. despite their combined power, the armament and the moths were still no match for manji. so they came up with a desperate plan to draw all the gangs, high schools and factions into the war with the manji. a team from the manji came to the town to find the armament and beat them down. one of the people they beat up was one of amachi's lieutenants. when he was told this, amachi didn't seem to care. when two of his men went to get revenge, they were surprised to see amachi had beaten them to the punch, attacking the manjis with a pipe.

later, amachi would join hana and the other leaders in a final battle with the leaders of the manji. while everyone didn't care for amachi, save for hana who doesn't hold grudges, they realize that he's a powerful fighter and they needed to stick together. at one point, one of his old foes even offered him a hand in support and surprisingly he took it, which is something he has never done.

when the battle was over, all the leaders of the town factions were heading home and one offers him a ride back home. he coldly turns them down, the guy thinking amachi is still a unlikable jackass. amachi turns the corner and we see his lieutents were happily waiting for him. as he heads back, he thinks, "i don't need a ride back. i have my own friends."

Perhaps the most famous example in the history of modern popular culture: Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader sacrificing himself to save his son Luke and decisively defeat Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious in RETURN OF THE JEDI.

    Cthulhu.

He allowed himself to be put back to sleep, to give humanity more time.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

On LOST, Sayid was a flawed character (okay, they all were) but was a hero several times, especially in the series' end.
