Walter Simonson wrote a 25 issue Orion series starting in 2000 that is very well regarded and collected in omnibus form.
Honestly I think it is even better than Kirby's work with the character.
What about The Death of The New Gods by Jim Starlin?
Orion also appears on very good JLA stories:
* JLA vol.3: Rock of Ages (#10-15)
* JLA vol.4: Strength in Numbers (#16-23)
* JLA vol.6: World War III (#34-41)
* JLA vol.16: Syndicate Rules (#107-114)
OR the bigger books
* JLA volume 2 (#10-17)
* JLA volume 3 (#22-26, 28-31 and 1,000,000!)
* JLA volume 4 (#36-46)
* JLA volume 9 (#107-125)
==> Rock of Ages and WW III are very good stories.
by the way, the 4th wolrd is excellent but Orion only appears in the New Gods parts that is available in a smaller trade:
* New Gods by Jack Kirby
And of course you can also read the current 12-issues mini-série:
* Mister Miracle
Have fun

Promoted at the time as an actual GN and thus one of the first labelled as such from DC was DC GRAPHIC NOVEL No. 4: "The Hunger Dogs" by Jack Kirby (with D. Bruce Berry, Mike Royer and Greg Theakston). I realize this is reprinted in JACK KIRBY'S FOURTH WORLD OMNIBUS No. 4--but it's one of the few New Gods books that actually was a real "graphic novel" as the term was understood when it took off in the 1980s. Which is different from how "graphic novel" is often used now, where it's just a fancy term for a comic book or a comic book collected edition.
There's an upcoming New Gods TPB collection as well. https://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Gods-Ja...words=new+gods
Tom King's ongoing Mister Miracle features Orion quite alot. He has an interesting role in it. Orion shows up in Azzarello and Chiang's Wonder Woman as well, he's the Dog of war to her God of war.
Honestly just the work of Jack Kirby and Walt Simonson's ORION.
Mister Miracle by Tom King is good, too.
