Default Will you be watching X-MEN in the MCU?

There are many who refuse to watch FOX X-MEN movies in theaters since X3/WO days or for one reason or another.

Now.... If Marvel Studios makes the movie next decade will you watch?

The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-MEN with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.

Hell yes! I've been ready for it for the past decade or so.

Of course, but I'm both curious and concerned about how Marvel Studios will go about it. I don't doubt they'll try to find a way. Kevin Fegie and Lauren Donner go back a long way. They worked together on the first X-men movie. They are both very experienced in the industry. But the gap between the MCU and the XCU got very wide after 2008. To bridge the gap, at this point, would take a lot and doing so may make things messier for both properties. But if anyone can pull it off, it's these two.

Only if it's not a reboot with the old guard.

Damnit I forgot to add that possibility to the poll

    The third option covers it.

That'll depend on the pitch. If it looks like another two decades of The Wolverine Show on the horizon, then probably not.

Heck yes to the "Yes, I'm ready for the new X-MEN films" option. I liked and loved most of the Fox X-men movies but it will be cool to see what Disney/Marvel comes up with. Overall I'm more excited that the Fantastic Four is back at Marvel because I think they were more neglected, but either way bring it!
My pull list: Sonic the Hedgehog, TMNT, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Marauders, X-men, Excalibur

Definitely without a doubt. I wasn't a fan of much of what Fox did with the franchise.

I'm all happy for MCU taking over just for the fact the comics will be left alone(no more other teams trying to supplant the X-Men).

But has Fox tainted the X-Men franchise? Will the bad after taste hurt the MCU box office? Look at what BVS and Suicide Squad did to the box office of JL. It's possible Dark Phoenix will impact the X-Men franchise in a very negative way. Plus it's been a steady if not very underwhelming 18 years. With a few exceptions the general audience might just turn away due to previous films.

I don't think so. If nothing else, I expect the first MCU X-Men film will make ridiculous amounts of $$$ just for the curiosity factor that comes with the character overlap, a la Spider-Man Homecoming.

This definitely is a possibility(especially with these erratic 11th hour misfires like New Mutants or whatever else they try to throw at the wall), but the MCU brand made people love Guardians of the Galaxy. I think the X-Men concept is strong enough to rebound and go further than what Fox was able to do. Get another strong cartoon out, net a new generation, and it should be fine. Not sure how much more the franchise could have taken, but I still think it is salvageable.
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
