Starscream and Sasha Hammer will go off and raise their new kid/fighter jet together. Boba Fett will go back to space. Moonstone will write a new psychological manual based on what she’s learned on the team (I’ve personally inspired at least six chapters). Power Process will return to the Isle of Lesbos (that’s the name right? Legitimately not trying to be offensive here). Doppelgänger will... produce spider silk? I dunno. And Juggernaut will move on too. They’ll forget all about lil’ ol’ Wade - and that’s just too much for my fragile ego to take!
I’ve got no recourse but to attend my support group for struggling men - Chicago’s own NO MA’AM. The leader’s my buddy (I actually lived with him for 3 issues in the now classic “Married... with Deadpool” arc in DEADPOOL & FORCE WORKS #11-13). But when the meeting is interrupted by an enormous anthropomorphic mouse looking to dominate us, can fellow FOX property Al Bundy and I defend his garage (and his ‘71 Dodge) from a hostile takeover? What’s the mouse even want with us, anyway?

Luckily there is a high-tech, well-defended Abstergo building in Derry that is currently developing a new version of the Animus that allows people to explore their own personal history and relive memories first hand, which is just what Erik wants - so he enlists the aid of veteran Brotherhood member MAGIK, one-time Brotherhood members the STEPFORD CUCKOOS and former X-Factor members QUICKSILVER, JAMIE MADROX and POLARIS to help him break in given that the team is currently under strength following its splintering at the end of the incident in New Orleans and SCOTT SUMMERS' departure. This leaves SUNFIRE behind in the Overlook Hotel all alone - where he starts to fall victim for the whispering of its haunted habitants and the mysterious room 237, which shares a horrifying gateway back in time to the Overlook Hotel in 1980s Colorado, a few years before its destruction.
