Kyle Rayner, after seeing the Superman: The Animated Series episode he guest-starred in.
I'm really not sure. I remember knowing that "Green Lantern" looked like Hal Jordan from a young age, but not actually knowing the name "Hal Jordan". I also remember seeing pictures of Kyle as a kid, and thinking, "Well. That costume looks very wrong, doesn't it?"
I don't have any strong memories of actually reading a Hal Jordan comic as a little kid, so I might have just known him from reruns of Super-Friends - where, as you'd expect, he's almost entirely known as "Green Lantern," rather than by name.
"You know the deal, Metropolis. Treat people right or expect a visit from me."
They did mention Hal's name on Super-Friends but only in his origin scene I believe.

I believe my first encounter with Green Lantern was Hal Jordan on whatever incarnation of Super Friends he appeared on. In comic books, I think the first Green Lantern I read about was Alan Scott in Kingdom Come. The first time I really paid more attention to Green Lantern was Kyle Rayner, though. When I was a little boy, they sold comics at my local Stater Bros. This was really interesting, because by this time, comics weren't sold much outside of the direct market. I was mostly a Spider-Man and Fantastic Four fiend, but I had a friend who collected Green Lantern and he would show me his GL comics. I remember him showing me the comics leading up to #100 when Kyle teamed up with the Legion and when he teamed up with Hal and fought Sinestro, and we thought they were really awesome.

Hal Jordan, because of Six Flags Great Adventure's roller coaster and my mom's Super Friends knowledge.

Alan Scott, I read the JSA before I ever got to green lantern proper with Rebirth. I’ve read all the lanterns since then but it will always be Alan.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
Kyle Rayner from getting one of his Hero Quest issues. It was the Wonder Woman team-up one. Not sure if that was my 1st WW comic as well.
