I mean. Yes. But he's been brought back already, right?

Maggott was later revived using magic and the techno-organic virus to aid in Selene's assault on Utopia.

    In the meantime reality shifted.

He seemingly survived the event and, along with his two slugs and allegedly the whole mutantkind, attended to Cyclops' speech at Washington, D.C. about the peaceful Mutant Revolution (Uncanny X-Men #600).

Default Which Dead Mutant Would You Like To See Resurrected?

So many dead mutants all over the place, and I was thinking how I'd like to see some of them brought back:

    (1) The Real Cyclops -- a no-brainer.

    (2) Jay Guthrie/Icarus -- I don't really like Warren, would like a different winged feathered guy flying around.

    (3) Kwannon -- She looks like the Betsy I used to love.

Just for starters . Your picks?

Cyclops should definitely be at the top of this list, but I have a feeling Marvel already has a plan for that. And I think that plan will somehow tie into the O5 X-men going back to the past. It probably won't happen in 2018, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see the signs later this year.

Let’s see. Things I want resurrected...

    Cyclops (and his pre-Morrison characterization)
Changeling (but have him go by Morph and dress like the TAS version)
    Banshee
    Avalanche
    Moira MacTaggert
Kwannon (then put her and Betsy in their rightful bodies and have both be X-Men)
Beast’s personality (essentially dead since Morrison)
Iceman personality (essentially dead since 2015)
Kitty Pryde’s hair and femininity (dead since X-Men Gold started)
X-23’s personality and youth (dead since they made her the new Wolverine)
    Xavier’s body
    Apocalypse
    Sabretooth’s villainy
    Havok’s good and face
    Icarus
    Wallflower
    Thunderbird
    Rusty Collins
    Shard Bishop
    Caliban
    Petra
    Sway
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!

    Jean Grey

    (trolling mode off)

Scott. But he shouldn't have died in the first place anyway. I don' even know why they kill iconic characters, just to resurrect them later.
Almost all of the core X-Men died and came back to life. It is so ridiculous. Only Jean had a death pass by her relation with the Phoenix (and yet she was the one who stayed dead the longer). All the others shouldn't have been killed.

Anyway, who was actually dead and brought back (who we thought was dead) ? I'm not a specialist, and I gave up the books for many, many years (so I surely miss a lot)

    Core X-Men :
Xavier : 05 X-Men original run, and more
Psylocke : Sworded by Vargas (Extreme X-Men)
Storm : Killed accidentally by Havoc, even if it wasn't her in the end. Original CC's run
Colossus : Suicide/Sacrifice/Legacy Virus Overdose. Whatever you want to call it.
Nightcrawler : Bastionned. Or Fist chested if you prefer
Magneto : Many times. I'm losing my head. So did he in New X-Men. (Well that wasn't him anyway.)
Wolverine : Dead during Alan Davis X-Men run. Thats was conveniently not him. Then died for real - but not for good - in his mini (Adamantiumally shelled. Glossy finish)

Last but not least : Jean Grey : Cosmic radiation with no sun screen. Vaporized on the moon. (Uncanny. CC's original run). Delayed Heart stroke, after she found out about Scemma (New X-Men). Brought back to life then "Wolverined" many times (End Song)

    Other Mutants :
Karma : thought dead. Just got fat possessed (CC's original NM run)
Cypher Cameron Hodge's arc. Bulleted (Louise Simonson's NM run)
    Madrox : Mutant STD. (Lobdell's X-Factior run)

I'm sure there are many more, but again, I'm no expert.

the number of mutants I want to see repowered (Abyss, Maverick, Wind Dancer, Dani Moonstar etc) is greater than the number of mutants I want to see resurrected
If I had to choose mutants for resurrection

    Adult Cyclops
Diamond Lil (undeserved shitty dead during Necrosha)
Avalanche and Pyro (and make them a gay couple)
The Hellion girls (Tarot, Catseye and Roulette) Although Tarot was alive with no explanation a couple of years ago in Spiderman and the X-Men, she was acting very out of character behaving like a Z List spiderman villain.

edit: I can't believe I forgot Madrox but it seems he will be resurrected very soon

The two dead Cuckoos (Sofie and Esme)--I thought five Emma-clones were pretty cool. Looking back, it seems like the Academy X kids have been mostly killed off and I don't think it's cool to kill children; it feels like the whole group was created to be cannon fodder.

So many people saying Banshee- he isn't dead. He's comatose somewhere as the X-Men try to purge him of the Death Seed energies, which should of happened by now, especially given Sentry and Daken are out there. Cyclops is an obvious one, but we might be waiting a while as his death seemed pretty final. Multiple Man could just have another dupe somewhere (his return has just been teased anyhow). Synch should never have died as one of the few black X-Men. Avalanche and Pyro should be revived, and get rid of the wannabes in X-Men Gold. Dead Girl technically shouldn't be able to die. Thunderbird, Caliban, Risque, Quill, Catseye... I could keep going. How I wish the Phoenix Force had brought them all back when Jean was returned to us.

I think Banshee has just been left in limbo so long most people think he's dead. Scott's come back from worse than mutant measles so I'm hoping he comes back sooner rather than later. My other hope is that maybe that "dead Madrox" was one of Jamie's dupes who just thought he was the original. I agree that killing Synch was a horrible idea--not that black superheroes should be immune from being killed off as a matter of principle--but he was a good character and deserved better. Why bother putting out a couple of Academy X books just to kill off all the kids? Quill was an especially pointless death. I don't think heroic characters should be "created to die." Maybe shuffle them offstage for awhile or make a rule that pretty much most deaths in comic books should be temporary and people should have the chance to enjoy their favs again.

I agree that killing superheroes is stupid because at this point no one believes it. It lacks any power. Instead they should have them benched for an injury. The character still goes away for a while but they can come back in a realistic manor if another writer wants them.

killing D o C list characters tends to be forever
Pyro has been dead since the late 90s
Wildchild has been dead for almost a decade

That is why for me killing a C or D list character is more tragic than killing Wolverine or Cyclops. Wolverine or Cyclops will always come back-
