Still no sign of Dani in New Mutants even though they literally fought an Asgardian monster this week.
No POC other than Rictor this week. Shan and Prodigy are office staff who haven't done anything.

    All in all, very disappointing.

Hollywood needs to stop whitewashing movies, and stop giving the “nerdy extra” parts only to Asians. Have yet to see marvel or big movies casting Asians as the main characters smh.
In terms of the Marvel movie universe (FOX), LOGAN depicted ALL of the future gen mutants having Mexican mothers and Rictor was also featured as his group's leader, which was a pleasure to see.
In Deadpool 2, the albino character Domino is recast as a black woman(actress Zazie Beats) with a WHITE spot over her left eye.
Also, blue-eyed and ginger Shatterstar has been recast as a black-haired Asian (actor Lewis Tan). He'll be seen with more detail when X-Force the movie goes into production.

    So . . . thoughts?

Guys! Next week, Saladin Ahmed's new book eXiles #1 comes out! This has to be one of, if not, THE most diverse X-teams that ResurrXiOn has to offer. With Blink, who's finally confirmed to be black, leading the charge alongside Khan (Ms. Marvel.....but Cable), Iron Lad (before he made Young Avengers to try to kill himself), Wolvie (X-Babies Logan's lesser known, but way cuter counterpart), and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson's amazing performance brought to print in all her gay, butch glory)! PLEASE don't let this book flop.

Many haters on Blink's blackness, and calling her new look weird and masquerading as the real Blink.

Tsk tsk, but who didn't know we'd have this issue.

Again, funny how Blink comes from the Bahamas, people will argue she isn't automatically black because everyone in the Bahamas isn't -even though majority are.

But when it comes to Monet, she's not black because her mother is Algerian, and most Algerians aren't black.

So characters just can't be black regardless of where they come from. lol Unless they outright say it, or wear a sign of some sort.

Strain jubilee was so awful and ooc. jubilee as vampire didn't get "thrown in the background" she was an important character in liu X-23 run, she was a core member of the all female x-men team, had the jubilee and wolverine solo and thats to name a few books she was in. No one knew what to do with jubilee while she was a mutant but as a vampire is where she matured and grew into a proper x-men.

LoL! Despite having years worth of great minority characters in their stables, no less. It's a crime that Frenzy is in limbo and Bishop, Forge, don't have a stable homes or at least an off panel spot. Glad we glimpse Cecelia Reyes every now and then. Hope they don't pull a Fox bring her back several shades lighter.

I think they dragged out the vampire thing way too long, but that's what Marvel does. Overstay their welcome and milk angles for all their worth and then some. Well "then a lot". What made me turn the page every time I saw Jubes was when they made her teen-mom AND a vampire. It got silly and since this is a comic, saying it was silly is a lot.

The case of Monet is very specific, it is very evident that it comes from mixed races, and has characteristics of both.

I do not know why some want to give Monet an ethnic group that he does not have, and Marvel does not seem to want to give it to them, the last thing they did was to make it Muslim, so they are even more inclined towards their Arab side.

Monet does not have specific characteristics that have black women like Idie, frensi Cecilia Reyes and others.

Monet and his sisters since childhood, have natural hair, extremely straight, something that we see in girls of color without mixing, obviously Monet's mother is not a black woman.

Maybe the idea at the beginning was to make her a character of black ethnic origin, but that quickly became diluted.

And I think Marvel the idea is to take M as someone of mixed race-
