You don't seem to grasp the concept between race and minority. You're equating them and quietly largely all you're saying is that any POC is black in a comic book and yet you'll still pick apart what's wrong with them and what the artist & writer isn't doing right.

Be honest. You don't want diversity you just want to be right which is worse because you're just pretending to be offended to get attention and could care less how minorities are depicted in comics.

However, Monet & Sunspot, I do believe are. Supposedly Scott Lobdell said Monet was. And I am gonna check the letters pages to see if he mentioned it there.

But on the flip, it seems some don't want any POC to be black, and will try to use nationality or Ethnicity to say they aren't.

Some even saying that Bishop is not black for crying out loud.

Nitpicking about one character's colorism issue is ridiculous in consideration of the bigger picture here. X-office is savage in the way they are muting or just plain cutting out mutants that happen to be persons of color especially males. This argument only serves to camouflage the complete apathy to non- white characters.

There are literally 30 some years between that first scan and those photos...so where are all the other images of from all the other books? What source material is Fox/Marvel using?

What gets me is that you're willing to use those really old pages, but not willing to see how blatantly racist and stereotypical characters were portrayed by white male writers. But yet you're USING that as how someone should be portrayed. It's staggering!

The mental gymnastics you're doing right now....... Roberta Da Costa was created by his creator as being afro latinx and that's integral to his identity and origin of his powers. A character of colour being written with racial stereotype doesn't erase their ethnicity/race and it sure doesn't mean it can't be improved on. Yeah berto was written as being hotheaded but that wasn't the only aspect of his personality. He also has a heart of gold, witty and is extremely loyal. Roberto is also one of the few latin character of colour in comics who isn't from "the ghetto" or slums.

Never said it was. This is a thread about minorities I'm not the one making it about skin color. Other people are using how a character is colored to identify which minority or race that character belongs to which is superficial and doesn't necessarily identify which minority group they belong.
