Wow, someone is totally coming for you today. Geez.

I totally get what you're saying and agree with you. Seems we've had very similar paths.

LOL, it's fine we both have opinions on it. I'm just saying I was introduced to the Claremont Era he is WHY I LOVE the X-Men.
Nothing is going to change that. It MAY be a biased Opinion, but I really do thank him A LOT for it because he is why i'm a die hard fan.

I’m reading UXM Omnibus #1 and it’s my first time ever reading any X-Men comic, and I absolutely love it!!

Looks good! To my shame I have not read as much of Claremonts work as I should have, I really like what I have and he seems like a fasinating guy. I loved his Avengers Annual #10 and how it delt with the horror that was #200. He did write one of my all-time favorite books, the Illyana & Storm: Magik mini. Plus he seems to have helped develop a lot of strong female character, which is a boon.

Think I need to start searching Marvel Unlimited and begin reading his books from the very start...

It'll be available to watch on VOD on Feb. 6. I will be watching this.

I can't either. Claremont wrote the best Scott Summers.

Claremont is great, no doubt, but to me Byrne was 50% of the reason the X-Men became what they became.
