Prime was fantastic during the first season and was on a good track until the studio interfered with the plotline...... even with that, it all still turned out pretty amazing.

Though, the target audience probably wouldn't be old enough to even realize that. By the time the show comes out, today's six year olds would probably be too old for this incarnation -- it looks almost like the Teen Titans Go! version for the Turtles, meant more for toddlers and kids just starting to learn television literacy.

Same. That's one thing I appreciate about the 2003 Turtles, in that that show (along with the 2007 movie) emphasized Donnie as a good alternate leader when Leo's gone. The original cartoon and the three movies had Donnie coming up with the plans but Leo still executed them, or only taking charge if Leo was in trouble. The 2012 show would also have Donnie as 2nd in command but wasn't the first incarnation to do it.

Why is Raph so bulky? die he and Spike merge? is his mutation unstable? was he bitten by a Vampire?

I wouldn't have a problom with this if the rest weren't the same.

    Ralph is bulky
Leo is the tradtional look of the turtles due to being the most balanced
Micky could be Lean (ala Bruce lee) to empathize his quickness as a chucker (why the hell are their weapons changed but not Leo's and Don's)
Don is bean pole being more the computer guy.

I thought her hair was still red, though I guess it does look kind of purple-ish .

The designs look bad, but the animation looks pretty good.

I learned a long time ago to not use a show's animation style to determine it's quality. However there are a couple of things I'm not feeling. Like Raphael being the leader. Logically you don't get a bruiser to lead things. As well as him nor Michelangelo using their trademark weapons. It reminds me of Michelangelo's nunchuks being replaced with a grappling hook in the original cartoon simply because nunchuks were illegal in some countries.
