The poor man’s one goal in life has been to write Superman let him have this . Waid is uneven nowadays, his Dr. Strange has been great but his Avengers was dreck. I’m not saying he’ll write another all timer but he will write a Superman story that doesn’t feature current Superdad, and I am curious to see what he would do. But I would be more excited by Hickman/Ewing writing Superman, and I’d be more curious what someone like Priest writing Superman would be like.

I’d love to see both of them get another Superman project. Yang’s Smashes The Klan was great and I’m a big fan of Pak’s run, as compromised as it was. With Pak I’d want him writing a young Superman though, he did that really well.

Yeah, when I saw that I immediately ordered it at my LCS. Looks great.

Glad that some artists ditch Conner's stubble. Though Bendis has another swing and a miss with this idea that Conner should also resemble Lex somewhat. But if that's what Frank is going for, he hits it. But its a great piece of art overall.

I thought Waid's Avengers was solid. Not mind-blowing and it could never settle on a specific direction, and he had no idea what to do with Spider-Man, but it was good, standard, Avengers stories.

He did have Thor be unknowingly a part of slaughtering an innocent race of aliens that kind of fell off the radar.

Now that you mention it, that looks like Frank's Luthor face. Or maybe I'm just seeing it because you mentioned it :P.

I'd love to see him back, just have no interest in him writing the Superdad version. I'd salivate over the idea of him having a chance to write at least a facsimile of the Superman he was writing before though.

I would love to have this book back. I'm not picky about the talent behind it. I think it would go a long to have in its own corner away from the quagmire that is continuity Supes. I can have the best of both worlds to read.
