Thanks! I'll probably have some new entries this weekend. I wish I had gone to see the new "A Star is Born" but it got pushed out of the local cinemas by the Christmas movies. Hoping it will get a short run around Oscar time.

As I wasn't commenting on my films as I watched them, I thought I would add a few observations at the the end.

Best Film Watched: The Shape of Water, narrowly edging out Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Death of Stalin. All three films have brilliant and engaging stories, but the visuals of The Shape of Water just blew me away. I think this will have ability to be re-watched multiple times which just puts it ahead of the other two.

Worst Film Watched: Alice in Murderland. Not only the worst film I watched in the last 12 months, but quite possibly the worst film I've watched in my life. Every aspect is appalling: the script, the dialogue, the acting, the direction, the cinematography, and to call the production values bottom of the barrel would be an isult to barrels. To be avoided at all costs.

Best discovery: Trick 'r Treat. A Halloween themed anthology horror film. The stories are linked by taking place in the same town on the same night, which characters from one story sometimes appearing in the background of others. It is genuinely scary, and holds multiple surprises, with the entire story not making sense to the last scene (which is a replay of the first scene, only now we know who these people are). Now one of my favourite horror films.

Favourite Guilty Pleasure: The Cannonball Run. I know this film is cheesy, but it doesn't matter. I have lost track of how many times I have watched this film over the years, but it still makes me laugh.
