If you're so dependent on Batman where he's the only one making money, why not just cancel everything else and have 50 Batman books?
The more people buy into the "Batman sells" mentality the harder it is for everyone else to get any attention.

Except thats not a problem at all as DC has and does sell other characters too. Batman is just their most popular.
