Fans have comically started a Go Fund Me to pay his salary so the Broncos can do that. But what is scary is how close Lynch came to Kansas City. The Chiefs and Reid liked him , was gonna draft him if he dropped lower. Instead the Broncos traded back in for him that draft.

If I was Jay Cutler and I'm in my mid 30's and not a WR or RB ...i don't even attempt to throw a block or anything. Its not like his 1 year deal was a long term contract.

Hack's back: Eagles sign QB Christian Hackenberg

With Carson Wentz and Nick Foles basically bubblewrapped for the preseason, I guess the Birds needed an extra arm in camp until the games count come next month.

I hope he makes the practice squad. By midseason, I think Nick Foles will be traded and then Hackenberg will have a chance to make the third string.

A longshot to be sure, but hey, why not? Meanwhile, I do believe the Birds play the Jets in the preseason finale, with ALL the starters expected to be on the sidelines, chances are Hackenberg might get the nod to start against the team that drafted him....IF he's still around by then.

Get ready foe people to curse Mike Brown's name...

Why Your Team Sucks: The Cincinnatti Bengals

    Best Bengal fan comments:

Adam: "The last time the Bengals were in a playoff game (2016 against the Steelers), I guess I’d had a long day, and when it got to 15-0 Steelers, I decided to go to bed because why bother staying up to watch the end of this crap.

Woke up the next morning to find out that somehow AJ McCarron had engineered a furious comeback, and they picked off a Landry Jones pass and were about to seal the deal on their first playoff win in 25 years, when our pretty reliable running back (Jeremy Hill) coughs up the ball. Roethlisberger drags his fat injured ass on the field and throws an incomplete pass to Antonio Brown, except that the dirtiest player in Bengals history (Vontaze Burfict) decided to take a cheap shot at him for no good reason and get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and while they’re tending to Brown while he’s nearly unconscious, the Steelers cheap shot artist assistant coach (Joey Porter, who once had six of his boys jump a Levi Jones in a casino for no good reason) manages to sneak across the field and start taunting a group of Bengals, and of course the guy with the longest rap sheet in the NFL (Pac-Man Jones, he’ll always be Pac-Man to me) takes the bait and gets another unsportsmanlike penalty, and the Steelers kick a game winning field goal because they just handed them 30 yards.

And I just started cackling uncontrollably. Not in a happy gleeful way, but in the way that Arya Stark cackled when she and The Hound traveled 80 bajillion miles to stay with her aunt Lysa and then found out she was dead. Of course this is how it would end, in the most Bengal way possible.

And that’s the closest we’ve been to a playoff win since 1991, and Marvin Lewis will never stop being the coach of this team and we’re not going to get there again for another 25 years."
Chris: "T.J. Houshmandzadeh dropped a bombshell a couple months ago when he told Cowherd that before Lewis, the Bengals didn’t supply players with bottled water, hotel rooms for home games or new jock straps.

My dad keeps reminding me that I was born two weeks after the Bengals’ last playoff win over the Oilers. As he woefully says, “The Reds won the World Series. The Bengals won in the playoffs. And then you were born.” Thanks, dad. Always nice to know your dad is pondering an alternate universe in which he pulled out."

Brian: "In roughly one billion years, the sun will evaporate the Earth’s oceans, rendering our planet uninhabitable and ostensibly meaning the end of life on Earth. The following day, Marvin Lewis will sign another two-year extension with the Bengals. They will still not have won a playoff game."

Jerry Jones wanted him bad too, so they also dodged a major bullet.

In another twist of fate, Elway and the Broncos also had their eye on Dak Prescott, but soured on him after his DUI arrest.

Also the Bengals had so few scouts as well before Lewis took over. Plus an infamous story that I've mentioned before a couple years ago regarding the cheapness of Mike Brown. Its was around late 1990's or early 2000's and the game field was in crap shape. Anyhow the field was in terrible shape and Mike Brown who owned the team wouldn't have the field fixed. Opposing teams finally complained to the NFL over having to play on that field.

So at the time I believe Paul Taglibue was the Commish and he was not happy telling Brown the NFL would fix the field , fine the team and him ...plus pass the costs to him unless he fixed the field. Well the Bengals had the field fixed that week.

Also days after Paxton Lynch looked like crap in his appearance in the preseason game against the Vikings ; Vance Joseph announced that Chad Kelly has passed him on depth chart. Before the season began Elway claimed Lynch was a developmental prospect and the team wouldn't just kick him to curb. But as NFL.Com claims , Elway may not have that luxury to wait on Lynch to develop into a starting NFL QB.

While we're still on a streak of NFL owners that it's easy to hate...

Why Your Team Sucks: THE WASHINGTON R******S.

Kyle: "We let Cousins walk and replaced him with what Cousins will look like in five years."
Jeff: "Jon Gruden hasn’t coached in over a decade and we still have the shittier of the two. Derrius Guice is cool which means he will last roughly 8 carries before some cataclysmic injury befalls him."(Editor’s note: Email sent July 26th)

Adam: "Honestly, how is Dan Snyder still allowed to own the team after facilitating the human trafficking of his own cheerleaders in Costa Rica for the benefit of some rich old men? How did everyone just kinda sweep that aside within a week of the story breaking?"
