No. The Raiders started and most identify with Oakland and it's people. F the LA and Las Vegas noise. An Oakland as an inner city when it all started if I might add too. Raider fans are in a lot of places that identify because of that. I live 2200 miles away and even I have always given a side nod to the Raiders because of that (unless they're playing the Colts that is) over these many years of following the NFL. The Rams were the Lakers before the Lakers so if anybody is the Mets, it's the Lakers but their version of the Yankees left but now their back removed from a couple generations of fans that is.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?

But the Raiders still has a bigger L.A. fan base than the Rams.
The NFL made a big mistake by choosing the Chargers to move to LA over the Raiders

Rams might be 7 and 9 but I bet they still go to the playoffs in that division.

So Tyrod Taylor gets hurt in a preseason game, your starting QB, and Hue Jackson decides to trot him back out on the field? Did I say it was a preseason game? I may have to rethink my feeling that Vance Joseph will be the first coach fired this year.

Anytime a coach goes 1-31 in 2 seasons , no way should they be kept. I mean you may love the guy as a coach and person. But its sending a message you want fucking failure. This decision itself echoes how bad a coach Hue Jackson is. He has kept saying he won't rush Mayfield (like he rushed Kizer into starting) on the field. But here he really should have gave Mayfield all the reps and let him do the preseason meaningless game.

One would think Jackson is on a short leash, that the front office is expecting more from this coming season than is possible. If the Browns stumble out of the gate, go say, 0-5 or 1-6, he’s history.

You would think that right. But its the Browns , if they go 2-14 they may give Jackson a 4 year extension lol.

The closest coach who had a losing record who managed to stay on for years as a head coach in NFL was shockingly ...Bart Starr. The ex-Packers great at QB became a head coach and coached the Packers from 1975 to 1983. In that span he had a 52-76-3 record in 9 seasons. He only went to 1 post season during that span ! He only had 2 winning seasons (1978 , 1982) in that span but not by much . One year it was 8-7-1 and the strike season of 1982 had him do 5-3-1 .

Yet somehow for 9 seasons Green Bay allowed him to coach and 5 of those seasons he was General Manager . So yeah , its weird a team liked failure but with Green Bay they seemed to like Starr doing that.

Hell, if Jackson manages to win four games, the fans will demand a statue of him be built.

Honestly, I think he's the only reason they're losing. I can name severak teams with less talent who managed to win at least one games. Dolphins, Jets, Texans, 49ers, hell, I think in a lot of ways the Browns have more talent than my Bills, but at as long as they're coached by Jackson, they're bound for losing seasons.

He probably had the same amount of goodwill in the bank for Green Bay that Elway has in Denver. It's not that either one can do no wrong, it's that their records as players tips the scales so heavily that they need to do worse, and for longer, than any other HC or GM.

Yes, I know. Which is telling about NFL pre-season.
I think the pre-season should be be cut to two games and two games added to the regular season.
Most starting players don’t play in the pre-season these days.
College football don’t have a pre-season at all. Why do the NFL keep this going?

Two more games would just be too punishing for the players. But getting rid of at least one pre-season would be good. They won't because of $$.
BTW, I heard GB is a top contender for Mack.
