I need to thank Raffi fro the Hon mention as well. I knew my cover choice had no chance of getting a vote, and this theme was a tough one, but I kept my cover choice cause I thought it was in the spirit of the theme.
Though, if I had gotten to it first, I would have chosen the cover submitted by Chicken Pocket.

The last hours were so intense!

Congratulations Chicken Pocket! Your entry ticked all the right boxes. You even had a "brotha" for those who alternatively read the theme that way.
And also congratulations to MRP for being the "second" winner.
You're very welcome Shalla Bal.
Tami, that was a fantastic and "brave" entry. I really did have trouble picking my personal winner.
Good going, CP!
Thanks to whiteshark, MRP, and Scott Taylor for voting for my cover, too. I thought it had a chance to win and I wasn't disappointed.

Just noticed this thread... didn't want to compete -- just wanted to post one of my favorite covers for one of my favorite comics by one of my favorite artists, Barry Windsor-Smith.
Congrats Chicken Pocket! A worthy win! :-)

As to what I've learned this week, the captain realizes that none of you are jumping on the Squirrel Girl bandwagon. That's OK, I can live with it. Just means more Doreen deliciousness for me. As to what it was that won this week, I really don't know. I suppose I should just try to pick out an artistically novel cover. "YES!" I can hear you screaming, "just pick a good cover and we'll vote for it." I shall have to dwell on this.
