no problem, it's a pretty good listen even without the Superman stuff, so I'd still recommend it.

Based on the interview, it sounds like he considers the marriage and supporting a family while being Superman to be a tough challenge, so I'm guessing we'll see some sort of drama, but I'm doubtful he'll actually end the marriage or anything.

I really don't need to see the trunks coming back as this thing people in-universe are constantly talking about.

I can see this irking some people but I think Bendis would probably do a better job with Clark then he would "Superman."

Hearing that Bendis was offered both Wolverine and Deadpool at Marvel makes me feel like a bullet was dodged when Bendis decided to leave. I'm a fan of his work (for the most part) but the idea of Bendis on either of those books (despite his making good use of DP as a guest star in Defenders)...no thank you. A thousand times, no. It makes me depressed on behalf of those characters to even think about it and relieved that neither of those things came to pass. To his credit, Bendis made the right decision. Hopefully the right people will be on those books and Bendis can accomplish better things on Superman.

I could see him doing an okay Wolverine run but a Deadpool run by Bendis would probably be like Daniel Way's run...so, glad we dodged that bullet.

If anything it might be like the drama he injected into Jessica and Luke's marriage at the beginning of his second volume of Jessica Jones.

So he won't break them up, but there might be some marital difficulties or tension.

.....okay? Could be good, could be terrible depending on how he handles it. Johns did the same kind of meta commentary with Aquaman, and it was great.....until he ran it into the ground.

Likely the best approach for Bendis. I doubt he could handle a full-blown focus on Superman. He doesn't appear to have the imagination for it.

This sounds excellent. Clark's job is (should be) a huge part of the Never Ending Battle and it's been underplayed and ignored for far too long.

If its internal drama between Clark and Lois, he can sod off. They are both better than that and have more faith in themselves and each other than that. But the two of them fighting for each other against outside forces? That'd be fine.

.....I know the names but can't place what they've done. But! It's not Berganza or Idleson, so welcome! I hope they keep Bendis from his worst excesses. When he's reigned in, he's good. When he's let off the chain and doesn't have any oversight? That's when he starts to suck.

Cotton was an assistant editor to Berganza. Cunningham's been a big deal at DC though - basically the editor of the "Justice League" line (i.e. that book, Flash, JLA, Teen Titans, some others), Deathstroke, Detective Comics, Nightwing, and moreover he's pretty much Geoff Johns' right-hand man on stuff like Green Lantern/Aquaman/Doomsday Clock. Hit-or-miss, but he's a Big Deal in terms of the stuff he works with.

Compared to whom exactly, I can name 8 people more fearless (without being a peak human/superhuman) than Lois Lame in a heart beat. One of them being Aunt May.
