In time for Valentine's Day, I decided to put the spotlight on couples in comics that don't get enough love from the writers and fans. They fly under the radar and aren't as in your face as other couples.

I don't think that's fair. I think you're right for some of those, especially Supes and Lois. They are destined to be together. But that's not the case for some of the others. Joker and Harley aren't destined to be together IMO. I don't think Batman always has to end up with Catwoman. So I wouldn't consider Deadshot or Thalia usurpers, respectively.

Triela knows she is under the influence of brainwashing/loyalty conditioning, grasps that where that ends and any feelings related to how much Hillshire has sacrificed for her sake is blurry at best, and gets that her being 15 is a dealbreaker in any case.

Rico and Henrietta are even younger and less self-aware.

I don't know, Anya and Xander (Buffy), always hated the freaking silly, lazy and plain stupid way they ended their relationships in the show. (spoiler? ah, screw it, it was like 15 years ago)
