For what ever reason the quality of books seem poorer when it's released every two weeks. And a lot of further decompression for the sake of decompression happening

I've been clamoring for a WEEKLY Uncanny X-Men book for ages now. Schedule does not affect quality and I hope the success of the current "No Surrender" story on Avengers shows Marvel how a single weekly book works so much better than a multitude of different spin-offs.

I enjoy it - less wait for the next chapter, though there are other X-books that I would prefer instead. However, bi-weekly is not good for my wallet
I’ve just published my very first work on ‘Archive of Our Own’, under the same name as here. It is the first chapter of ‘I Am My Own Best Friend ~ An Emma Frost Road Trip’, which focuses on Emma between the events of IvX and Secret Empire, including the White Queen going on a road trip, to try and have fun!

You can read the story here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/15795663

I hope you enjoy it as much I did writing it!

My only complaint about bi-weekly releases is the financial side of things. I always barely have enough cash to get all the comics I want in a month.

I feel that bi weekly is not part of the problems that Gold and Blue have on the contrary weighs more favor than against and prefer this model ( wish Red was like that).

Blue have good stories but a cast that does not appeal to many and Gold has failed to meet readers' expectations so far none of this seems to involve books coming out biweekly or monthly.

I enjoy the bi weekly schedule, it has you waiting for shorter periods of time. I am LOVING the weekly avengers no surrender event.

That being said, the bi weekly x-books are just terrible. That’s not the fault of the schedule it’s the fault of the cast in one case and the writer in the other.

For books I like, it's great! For books I don't care for, it's the publisher being greedy and creating a headache for retailers.

Same reason here. The only problem with this as a lot of people aid it's the price of the issues, my wallet don't like that.

That's why DC, quite rightly, charges a dollar less for the double shippers. Marvel should follow suit.

I like the idea of it, but if Marvel wants to do it more often, then they need to lower the price. I think its greedy. It wouldn't kill them to lower it 2.99 imo.

That being said, if they are going to publish books twice a month, then the story should reflect that change. Both Blue and Gold don't take advantage of the bi-monthly shipping, and keep their stories short and condensed as if they were just coming out once a month. I feel like if we're going to get books twice instead of once, I think writers should utilize that by telling a longer, more detailed story. You have more breathing room, and have the opportunity to do more.

Monthly for me. I can afford more books that way and I feel a monthly book provides more consistency and less "replacement" creators. Worth the wait.

Depends on the writing for me. I would rather wait a month to get a quality book that is worth the $4/5 pricetag than have to bleed $8/10 a month for two books that are just bad. I think it would be slightly more palatable if the cost went down a buck for those. But Marvel won't do that.

So to answer the question: Yes I think bi-weekly is a successful model only if the quality of writing and art is good and the cost is slightly lower. Otherwise you're bleeding your audience for crap.
