    Default Legacy Showdown: El Diablo


    Legacy showdown is a civil debate and poll on which version of a superhero or supervillain mantle a fan prefers. DC is known for it's use of legacy and there are definitely plenty of examples to discuss. Since the first legacy showdown was about a cyrokinetic (Killer Frost), I felt it was necessary to offset that with a pyrokinetic: El Diablo!

    Definitely Chato. But I would like to see him gets powers like he had in the Suicide Squad movie. pyrokinesis but also able to channel the Aztec god of fire.

    Same here! I feel like that concept has a ton of potential. I really liked his recent Suicide Squad mini but unfortunately they didn't introduce that to his mythology. I did like Azucar and Justicia though.

    I think Chato Santana has a lot of untapped potential! He could be DC’s answer to Ghost Rider, just with a Mexican/Mesoamerican twist!

    You could make Lazarus an ancestor to either Rafael or Chato. You could always make Rafael and Chato cousins.

    I've only ever known of Chato, and I think the Aztec god and repentant thug angle from the movie has a ton of potential.

    I think it may work better if they retooled Rafael to be like an uncle or something. i think making him an older relative makes it so the name is something that gets passed down through the ages and also somewhat ensures Rafael isn't in line to try to co-opt the name again, which often becomes a problem with legacies.
