Default Multiple future timelines in the X-men.

I suppose this is a editorial nightmare. I think that multiple timelines can be a ball of yarn that twists and turns so that eventually a ending is accepted in the 616 X-men U, that is apart of the greater 616 or post Secret Wars.

I think that any interaction with a alternate timeline or future timeline can be undone by certain events being altered.
Now the question is how would you streamline the future X-men timeline ala Jim Shooter style to settle the shifting sands of the timeline?

I wonder could some Alt- timeline, Timehopping X-men that have had interactions with the X-men like Rachel Grey, Bishop, and others could influence things that may cause similarities in their futures to occur under different circumstances.

So basically try to connect the future timelines to make less of a clutter of the X-men timeline.

If so many of the future timelines are post-apocalyptic dystopias, is there any way to connect them without creating even more clutter? Some of them are bound to contradict one another. And it has to be a future timeline, correct? So that would exclude plain-old alternate realities.

    So basically Exiles with X-characters?
I’ve just published my very first work on ‘Archive of Our Own’, under the same name as here. It is the first chapter of ‘I Am My Own Best Friend ~ An Emma Frost Road Trip’, which focuses on Emma between the events of IvX and Secret Empire, including the White Queen going on a road trip, to try and have fun!

You can read the story here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/15795663

I hope you enjoy it as much I did writing it!

Secret Wars already streamlined all the alternate future timeline stuff; they no longer exist. The problem is writers have fallen back into doing time travel stories, making that null and void.

It's hard to blame them. Time travel is easy and "fun," to an extent. It opens up a lot of possibilities.

Marvel should have been stricter about it, at least for a few years.

I agree, I was just trying to justify it, I guess.
