Bendis and Tim Miller Working on X-Men Movie?

Apparently Brian Michael Bendis is working with Deadppol director Tim Miller on a mysterious X-Men related project.

"A new report from Deadline reveals 20th Century Fox has hired longtime Marvel Comics scribe (and recent DC convert) Brian Michael Bendis to write a script for Deadpool director Tim Miller. In an attempt to find a bright side.....Bendis's Kitty was one of the least terrible things he wrote.

Kitty pulls her best Ripley from Alien impersonation. Even if Fox owns both franchises, it just seems like a waste of a movie to do this issue in isolation.

I’m guessing Deadpool director involvement has something to do with colossus being on Deadpool films, with Bendis having eventual plans for a kitty colossus romance. Would line up with wedding of the century.

my immediate thought was that Bendis hates Colossus and he's going to pair up Kitty with an author insert in a movie and hope it has repercussions on the comicsverse.

but yogaflame's point about Ripley does offer up the idea that they really could do Uncanny #143 and possibly do it justice.

I don’t disagree with statement one but: Bendis has an opportunity to tie his insert character to a huge and popular film franchise (deadpool). I don’t think he’d pass that up even if it’s colossus that ties her into the films.
