Brisson Drops Hint About New Book Featuring Cable...X-men Black? X-Force?

I hope any future project he does includes Creed to some extent -at some point. I loved his his handle on him in Iron Fist Legacy, which is the only thing I read & enjoyed consistently since last Apr. And he did mention how he couldn't wait to write him again.

Given feedback, seems Brisson is one of Marvel's best right now.

I dont think its X-Men black. I think cable is the one to send OML away. There no point of a X-force book while wepond x exists(seriously why is it called wepond x and not x force)

I've always rather enjoyed the whole "odd person out/unusual choice" idea myself. It makes things more interesting imo.

I'd rather keep Warren and Betsy out of another X-Force team, they need something different for some time to come, and Warpath could use a change as well...and Tabitha really wouldn't fit into either a kill squad or anything to dark unless they change her to fit the team which I'd rather not see happen...

X-Men Black is a stupid name tbh. Just dub it X-Force.

Anyways, as for the line-up:

Cable- gruff badass team leader
Domino- second-in-command. Brings the squad good luck
Warpath- team bruiser and gentle giant
Boom-Boom and/or Marrow- all the sass, little stealth capability and a whole lot of fun
Daken- Laura insists he joins 'em. If he's gonna have the whole berserker rage thing going, best make sure it's directed at the bad guys.
Adam X- fast friends with Tabby and/or Marrow. Lots of cursing. Wicked powers that make an impact.
Spiral- spellcasting six-armed swordswoman? I think yes

Doctor Nemesis- resident scientist. Continuously fed up with the antics of Tabby, Adam X & Marrow.

I suggest smaller tactical teams hand-picked for certain missions depending on required powers (Explosives w/ Boom-Boom or stealth w/ Daken & Domino for example). Easy enough to have Deadpool and/or Wolverine drop by for a sales boost.

I like the Color system for X-books actually I just wish there was some thought put into it where the color actually signified something about the nature of the book/team.

As far as a new X-Force, I share the views already expressed Weapon X was exactly that book.

I'm also more interested in XMEN BLUE turning into a quasi "grey" team actually so idk how I feel about the competition for that but I guess we can have two versions , this one more violent and "gritty" I suppose

Do y'all realize the potential of having Boom Boom, Psylocke, and Creed on a team together? Betsy and Creed weren't really capitalized on in Uncanny X-Men because they were both dealing with their own stuff, but duuuude.

Sadly it's something else cut short. Bunn teased on tumblr that there would definitely be issues between them. But we never got to them.

I definitely wanna see Boomer + Creed again, given how it ended.

That's unfortunate but unsurprising.

I want to see Boom Boom taken seriously, with a sisterly affection towards Psylocke, and how they BOTH deal with Creed inverted or otherwise. Or... half inverted? That's what I'd call his current status. Half inverted.
