    Does the Superman special take place after action 1000#? The cover has him sporting the trunks already.

    Looks like it. Some have speculated that Superman's Reborn costume gets destroyed in the Action Comics Special making him decide to wear the trunks costume for Action 1000 and the Superman Special.
