Aw Hell Naw don't bring that bland potato salad!
Rofl!
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
Have to admit I'm a little surprised they decided to effectively end Black Panther's theatrical run after appx 90 days.

the metric from release date to home release is 90-100 days, thats the sweet spot for profitability from theater to home release
Jumanji was still in a few theaters when it released on digital
There have been a few movies that were still playing in theaters even when the blu ray and digital copies were available in my area of Virginia. Granted the theaters that still show the movies even after the blu ray hits stores is the non major theaters like Cinema Cafe (not sure if you all have those in your area). Jumani was in theaters for a LONG time in both the major ones (AMC, Regal, Cinemark) and the secondary theaters. When I bought the blu ray a few weeks ago, it was STILL in theaters. I feel Black Panther is going to be playing in some theaters all the way up until the blu ray hits stores, maybe even past then.
I really doubt it - there are cases where I thought something might win best Production Design or costumes because of the sheer level of creativity, hard work, and thought that went into it-- only to see it lose out to some oscar-bait historical melodrama. for all of the old fogeys that vote - it seems like they usually vote for something that shows them things they remember and gives them 'the feels'. sometimes striking and original new work just can't compete.
fantasy and sci-fi films generally don't win for best costumes... probably just a naturally existing prejudice against the genre. I'm surprised that "Bladerunner 2049" even won an award for best cinematography... even though Deakins is kinda overdue for it!
