Default What artists would you have chosen for Dawn of X?

Just because this has been my mind for awhile. And no I'm not shitting on the artist we currently have on the titles.

But if you had your way who would you have put on each title.

Pick an A-lister that would stick around for the first arc.

We are two issues in and we kind of have a feel for each title.

This is hypothetical. You can go big or keep it realistic.

So in this scenario All current writers are attached. Who would you have picked?
    __________________________________________________ _______________

    Mine would be:

X-Men: Jonathan Hickman / Olivier Coipel (I mean its Coipel)

Marauders: Gerry Duggan / Pepe Larraz (I mean its Larraz)

Excalibur: Tini Howard / Russell Dauterman (The Thor run proves he can do magic and Otherworld)

X-Force: Ben Percy / Jerome Opena (X-Force Alumni who has created great visuals in Uncanny X-Force/Avengers)

New Mutants: Hickman|Brisson / Jorge Jimenez (His current JL run is visually appealing to me)

Fallen Angels: Bryan E. Hill / Clay Mann (He would make them look all sexy, badass, and deadly)

Yeah I know this might come off as a wishful thinking thread.

But if X-Editorial really wanted Dawn of X to hit hard after the success of HoXPoX. They should have had something similar to this line up.

But what do I know. Most of the titles are in the Top 10 every month.

The guy who did female Thor first issues for Excalibur. I forget the name. Not a big deal since Excalibur looks great to me

X-men could be better. Lots of top tier artist they could choose from. I agree that Oliver would be great.

Im not reading fallen Angels but it has the worst art of the group. X-force is fine with the current artist.
I only continue to read X-books because I don't spend any money on it.

DOX has fine artists. More problems with writers.

I feel like it was certainly a missed opportunity to bring in some female artists and some bigger name male artists as well.

Emma Rios on X-Force would melt my brain.

Jaime McKelvie on Excalibur is also brain melting.

Sana Takeda on FA would shake me to my core (but I would not sacrifice Monstress for this).

Stephanie Hans on whatever the f*** she wants would be good. Maybe between Die arcs? Maybe a GSX issue?

While for the most part I've truly enjoyed the visuals we've gotten to date, for Cap'n Kate & her crew, Stefano Caselli Joins Marauders in February - Bleeding Cool. That's a REALLY BIG get for me personally, as I've found his past work pretty spectacular, and practically ideal.

I believe R.B. Silva's gonna be returning for some select, future issues of X-Men.

Kenneth Rocafort is another name, I'd like to see make his way to the Mutant DoX titles. As mentioned, Pepe Larraz, Russell Dauterman, and Olivier Coipel, are all top choices as well.

AoXM Prisoner X artist Germán Peralta might make a good fit for New Mutants, if need be, or something else from the 2nd/3rd waves maybe. I like Excalibur's Marcus To, and wouldn't mind Jorge Molina comin' back for a visit, either.

Steve McNiven on Wolverine/X-Force, but only if he was reminded about 5 years prior.

Former XM Red contributing artist Carmen Carnero:

... was supposedly gonna be on the long-rumored X-Corp.

    And what about Sara Pichelli?

"Want" and "be able to" are two different things.

Top artists are more expensive and might blow the allocated budget.
Top artists generally can pick what they want to work on and so might not be interested.
Top artists might be too slow for a monthly (especially with double-shipping).

Didn't DC grab most of them already?

I'm biased and old, but I'd have given JRJR and Byrne a call at least. But X-Office isn't only selling nostalgia anymore.

so just lock down Pepe Perez to a contract matching Hickman's in length.

Would love to see X-Men drawn by Jason Fabok/Mcniven and X-Force by Gabriele Del' Otto/Stjepan Šejić. But I guess I am really optimistic.

    Not really.

Marvel grabbed at least 4 artists from DC Victor bogdanovic, Juan Ferreyra, Pat Gleason, Patch zircher, Otto schimidt.

I think the best solution is revealing new good artists, so it geats cheaper.

Carmen Carnero back to X-books is good.

I think the only 2 artists I would switch is YU and Kudranski. They are bringing down the story telling.

Steve Epting could do a nice job. I would love Walter Geovani on a x-book
Marcio takara for Fallen Angels could be interesting
