Maybe marvel will feel more emboldened to make Sam the next Cap and have him take center stage in future Avnegers movies. But as far as copy cats it's a very specific movie. If you just made your own version of Wakanda and your own Monarch people would see right through it. A Space Opera is specific but not as specific as as Afrofuturis superhero movies in a almost magical land in Africa.

I do think movies that would a been called too black for mass appeal in the past will now get they're fair chance. I hope atleast
I don't know if it even has to be genre-specific. Even if it might diverge from what really made this film work, producers with gold fever have tended to crank material that only superficially resembles the magic of the smash hit in the hopes that they've found an audience thirsty enough to drink what they're selling without stopping to taste it.

    Somebody pay the man.
McGregor also doesn't get the credit he deserves for changing the way comics were perceived with Graphic Novels.. Frank Miller and the Dark Knight returns get all the love I feel like Pathers Rage should be more beloved then it is. But now that Tchalla is gonna be a A list name maybe people will go back and read that run. It was Marvels first Graphic Novel right? Iono I might be pulling that out my ass.

Lightbulb Black Panther beats the Dark Knight again!

'Black Panther', with the third highest domestic revenue ever, had topped the 2008 Batman movie 'The Dark Knight' weeks ago in plain cash.
Yesterday, however, 'Black Panther', at over $683 million, topped the DC's highest adjusted-for-inflation domestic earner!

On Boxofficemojo.com, the next inflation adjusted goal is the 1965 Bond film 'Thunderball' which at $686.6 million is the highest Bond film on the list and only 3 million away from being over taken!
Think about it, Black Panther beating both Batman and Bond domestically!

On the-number.com, which may be a bit more meticulous in their calculations for old films and, for instance, don't even adjust for films before 1977, the Dark Knight was surpassed earlier as their calculation adjust the Dark Knight's revenue as lower than boxofficemojo.

Similarly the-numbers already has BP beating SW:TLJ in world wide revenue.

While on boxofficemojo's unadjusted worldwide market, 'Black Panther' is just $6 million away from over taking 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi's $1.332 Billion take!

The next awesome yet realistic goal is to surpass the 2012 Avengers to become America's top adjusted-for-inflation superhero film of all time!
At the-numbers.com, 'The Avengers' is at $702 million while mojo has it at $705.
Does 'Black Panther' have the $22 million needed for undisputed domestic superhero dominance?
The DVD comes out in a few weeks even as the film is still doing business in the theaters.
Will that end the movie's run?

    We shall see.

As a fan Reginald Hudlin's series, I loved this movie!
Coogler and Cole wrote a compelling story.
The actors were able to shine under Coogler's direction.
The professionals involved, from Ruth Carter to the cinematographer all did their best!
This movie deserves all the success and praise it has achieved!

    Amandla!
