Sad to see Sam go But Ben is great. His GA run is one to remember with how it brought Oli back to his roots.
In case you guys don't remember, Humphries has only ever said he wants to write a Nightwing story no one else has, one that he wants to tell. At the time, I only took it as a "I'm going to writing something a little different, but still very Nightwing" but I guess he was saying he was only on the one arc. Still, he's added a lot to the book, between fleshing Bludhaven out like crazy and bringing parts of Dick's history like Hudson U (we still need to wait and see about whether we can count the Judge as a good addition or not).
As for Percy, I'm definitely interested. I think he can nail the comedy for sure, and he's already mentioned he plans to get around to romance, which is nice. Everything he's said about the action has sounded good, and the general direction of some kind of dark web cyber crisis sounds interesting (although the idea that this is going to affect the whole DCU has me feeling wary). I'm also a little concerned with how he plans to handle Bludhaven here, because the casinoscape is super fun to look at and is a fairly unique environment as far as DC goes. I just want the cyber city idea to be additive, like a bigger Bludhaven rather than erasing part of the Bludhaven that already exists, you know?
Also, that is a great cover by Declan Shalvey, but the main artist, Chris Moonoyham has some concept sketches up in that EW article and damn, that digital astro-projection wyrm monster thing definitely looks cool. If this is meant to be a long-term direction for Dick, then I'm very intrigued by what exactly the villains are going to be like (considering the long-form story Percy's been telling with the Ninth Circle on a similar city-wide, and later "DCU-wide," scale in Green Arrow). I'd definitely be happy to see a lot of interesting rogues for Nightwing in this story if they are related to that concept sketch.
Lastly, I've been in love with Jorge Jiminez and Yasmine Putri covers lately, so it's good to know we're keeping the latter, while gaining Declan Shalvey, which is gonna be great.
I hope that Percy brings over Kate Spencer, and maybe finally lets her be Manhunter again.

Eh. I don't get excited about cover artists. I want good art in the stories and covers have no bearing on that. And I don't really like Honeymoon's Dick.Originally Posted by Grayson - The Dark Heir

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.
