Nope, I had no idea she was Asian until I read up on her when she was cast. I do think she has a racially ambiguous look that doesnt automatically scream Asian

Guggenheim has the most selling x-men team book
Soule has team book which is losing readers faster than any other.

Guus is focused mostly on Kitty but developed other characters like Colossus.
Soule is focused mostly on X but didn't develop other characters.

Stakes in gold are also higher than in Astonishing. In Astonishing X-men... X-men can't lose... even death can't stop them

No. They didnt ditch it. Shes still british in an asian body. Her original body which was swapped with the ninja Kwannon was infected with the Legacy Virus which died

Then the Asian body also died, and when she was recreated and brought back to life by her brother, she was placed in an Asian body.

So for all intents and purposes she isn't in the stolen body anymore. This current body, an Asian one, is Betsy's own. Not to mention that her original body has been destroyed twice since then as well.

I thought so too. Something doesnt seem right with Charles. But I'm fairly sure he'll be back to his old self by the end of the series

I think its obvious he's not Xavier. Thats Shadow King. There is a reason his speech bubbles are still black. Thats the most blatant clue. I also believe thats why this book is so self contained bc Xavier isnt actually back and wont be outside of this title

Xavier is properly coming back . He was mentioned in Blue as working with Magneto to send the O5 Home.

I don’t know if I’m in the minority or the majority but I loving this title and I love X. He’s been in the Astral plane fighter his most hated enemy for what it seemed to him as hundreds of years (if I remember correctly; someone will tell me if I’m wrong) so his shady characteristics are appropriate. I think all the characters are used decently, without one outshining the others. But I could go without OML being there. The different art teams for each issue hasn’t been a problem because I haven’t hated any of the artist – as of yet.

I am also loving the book and X. And the changing art is not bothering me in the way I thought it would, because I'm liking all of them. Even the least interesting ones are still good.

Regarding X, I think it's not "our Charles", that's why he is calling himself X. I'm seeing it like, Charles spend so much time on the Astral Plane with such a disturbing presence of Farouk, that he became something else. He is a corrupted version of himself. He might have the memories Charles had, but he is something else, and we should not think about him as Charles, nor the X-men. And I may be wrong, but I think that by the end of issue 12, Charles will not become his old self.

I don't know why people continue to have Betsy' s transformation wrong. They never "swapped" bodies. Spiral mixed the DNA. Memories, powers and skills etc.... of the 2. Creating two almost identical Eurasian girls, who shared the same memories. Revanche just so happened to end up with the bionic eyes. The proof is when Revanche shows up. Not Professor x, Nor Jean Grey, Nor Wolverine could tell them apart.

When Jamie brought her back he said he did so exactly as she was before in the same spot even where she died. He made some alterations to her powers but she is still technically an Eurasian female.
