Hmm... I always thought this album was popular, it was considered groundbreaking and all the radio stations were talking about it at the time. I own it myself without shame. It was definitely her last good album. Now owning her recent albums may be cause for embarrassment. She definitely should have stuck to this as she was older and more mature but she went back to all the sex stunts and was strictly pop again. She is too old to be going around like a pimp. God, Madonna. Why did you start rapping about your latte? You could have went out with a bang instead of the joke you are now.
I'm, I'm... this is the right thread. So I'll leave you alone.
Um... I know Abba gets a lot of mocking, whom I myself like, because it's Disco but why Welcome To The Jungle? It's actually my favorite song of theirs and I'm pretty sure its highly regarded. It's Appetite For Destruction. Not The Spaghetti Incident. Unless you run in circles that doesn't like mainstream rock then I can see the problem.
I think both Cents and Punisher were posting an example of how a playlist can include both guilty pleasures as well as highly-regarded songs.
I have a Spotify playlist of favourites that's 200 songs and includes 'Pusherman' by Curtis Mayfield next to 'Step By Step' by New Kids on the Block.
Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze, please just be there for me
Although, of course, some early Madonna stuff was produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic, as was this:
"How does the Green Goblin have anything to do with Herpes?" - The Dying Detective
Hillary was right!
This song has been going through my head all day at work. This is the version from the "Sing" movie
Cher is playing in Chicago tonight, the uncle of one of my co-workers is working security.
By the way folks, Jeannie (two "N"s) C. Riley sang about the "Harper Valley P.T.A.", not about a man's personal male attendant nor a person employed to park cars.
And as long as nobody includes Air Supply (responsible for "All Out of Love" and others), I try not to be too judgemental.
