I like way too much music that clashes together.

I watched maybe a third of the movie this song is from and gave up. I saw an article where the producers were like, "Yeah, we waited too late. We should have put it out a couple of years earlier."

Also, aren't they from San Franciso? Why is the film set in NYC? Was it cheaper to film there...maybe more trendy at the time....

EDIT: They actually did start in New York.

Somehow there's three friggin' Knack songs on this Chipmunks record! But I unironically love this cover of the Cars

I'm not sure if this German "Schlager" duo covering Black Sabbath is uncool or the coolest thing ever, but I can't stop watching it.

A lost but not forgotten favorite of mine. I once heard a radio DJ play this three times in a row (at least I didn't want to wait in the car) going on about how he was sick of taking requests for it.

I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?

Isn't the "Village" in the group name Greenwich Village, site of the Stonewall Riots?

Yes, the West Village to be exact, for a long time the "Gay" area of NYC.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Yeah, I grew up with the West Village and Fire Island being the gay enclaves in the NYC metro area. I assumed that hasn't changed over thirty years since I left Long Island.
