I don't think I've posted this song yet

It's probably been at least thirty years since I've last seen this movie.

Gah! So like just tonite I'm like, "Hmm...I should finish washing the dishes and then I can get back checking out the interwebs with no worries!" I somehow dropped a spoon and fork which bounced and fell between the oven and the wall. My place is set up so that I can't move the oven more than four inches away from the wall. And my middle aged arms aren't long enuff to reach them from where I can see them. So I spent almost an half hour driving myself crazy trying to recover my utensils. Anyway I'm not sure what Harold Gray would have thought about this musical, but...

For fun check out the Gilbert Shelton parody of the old strip

From the time when TV themes would make the Top 40. There's rock n roll versions of the Mary Tyler Moore theme, I wish there was some for this one sung by Cyndi Grecco..."give us any rule WE'LL BREAK IT!"...that's pure rock/metal/punk/whatever

Come to think of it, this version is also pretty "disco freedom" which I guess fits the time when the show was on.

I saw it the first year it came out. Never missed a Rankin-Bass Christmas special when I was a kid.

In my fantasy where I get to write and direct a Hawkeye movie, this song will be in it

My Hawkeye movie will also have Foghat and Bad Company in it too, but that stuff is for another thread...

I always liked the theme from Family Ties. Here is the full length album version, slightly different production.

Its due to my tastes being strange but I am not sure if you know about Chap Hop

I come when there's something to take but I never give anything back.
I know what you want. But it is not here. It's gone and it will never ever come again...

Ooh, I only new one chap hop track previously. As a tea drinker, I liked it.
