The '70s was when the slide started, but it took quite a few years. I was still going to the drive-in as late as the late '80s. I can remember seeing one of the Friday the 13th movies and also Crocodile Dundee 2 around that time.

Speaking as a guy that legitimately loves that show, that she was a very striking woman will occasionally crack you right across the head during an episode. What I believe was a "Cruise" episode comes to mind.

I honor of that I will post this song that I posted a while back in the classic rock thread. And seriously, when it came out 30 yrs ago, I just thought the drive in motif was a nostalgic thing. I thought that the format was gone by then, like " It's 1985, no one goes to the drive in anymore
, just look at those old cars!" But nice to know I was wrong.
