I don't know why YouTube recommended this to me, but I'm glad they did!

I'm not ashamed of any music I enjoy (not even Muskrat Love, lol).
My family, however, used to get embarrassed/amused at my adoration for traditional instrument Andean folk music. I could hear the sound of it on the far side of an arts festival and they'd have to fast walk to catch up to me mock groaning "oh no" all the while!
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)

I never thought of it before, but Tiny Tim looks a little like Alice Cooper

And now, I feel the need to track down that issue of Master of Kung Fu that guest starred a cab driver who was a homage to Groucho Marx.

This was a novelty song from Steve Martin's comedy album "A Wild And Crazy Guy" which was a big hit in the late 70's ( the catch phrase from a skit he did with Dan Akroyd on SNL).

Here's an interesting thing in the 21st century... Martin uses the word H*nk* which was a racial slur in the song. Thing is, it's a slur that people then ( and even now) don't take that seriously. Like when this song came out, you'd hear that word every other week on shows like "The Jeffersons" and no one cared. It was then ( and now) more offensive to say "redneck" or even "white boy" in the wrong tone, than h*nk*, which just made people laugh back then

Yeah, more Madonna...sue me!! Roughly around 5:54 she starts playing the main riff from Pantera's "New Level".

Maureen McGovern "Morning After". This song was used in the movie "The Poseidon Adventure" and while I know I saw the film on TV as a child, I barely remember it. However, I do remember this song being on the radio and TV all the time back then.

Robbie Dupree with backing vocals by Michael McDonald

He was all over the place around this time, backing up Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross...

After seeing Martin Stein in a Superman shirt, even more superhero musical wonder is demanded. Here is Ralph Hinckley looking for his "Corner of the Sky".
