Not just in that episode, either. Sisko is a bad[ass] man!

...and effectively ordering a head of state's assassination with no Garak in sight.

Out of all the Star Trek shows, Enterprise had the best season-long arc (season 3's Xindi arc).
Out of all the Star Trek shows, DS9 had the best series-long arcs (every character, supporting character, and Bajor itself even before the Dominion were involved).
Out of all the Star Trek shows, Enterprise had the best three-parters (the Augments, Vulcans, and Romulan three-parters).
Out of all the Star Trek shows, Enterprise had the best mirror episodes (In A Mirror, Darkly 1 & 2).

Echoing the love for Sisko. Out of all the Star Trek Shows Deep Space Nine had the best Captain. In the aforementioned episode "In The Pale Moonlight" Avery Brooks' amazing acting always wows me in this scene:

Out of all the Star Trek shows, the original series had the best over-acting. But the other series all tried their best to compete with some pretty hammy acting of their own.

Sisko was not afraid to get his hands dirty if it got the job done. Yeah he did some shady ****, but it did help win the war and save lives. Picard or Janeway would have lost the war if they had been in his place because they were just so rigid when it came to their beliefs. Kirk on the other hand would have been just as shady as Sisko if not more so.

You mean worst Captain, right? The one that is a remorseless war criminal is by definition the worst Starfleet Captain of the bunch.

Best main character? Sure, but that is something else.

Religious icon struggling with his own faith and that of the Bajorans in him, captain trying to maintain his morals while trying to fight and win an ever worsening war, single father raising and maintaining a healthy relationship with his son, man looking for love while healing from his wife's death... Sisko was the most complex captain and one of the most complex characters period.

...and if you have to do horrible things so that billions of lives can be saved, what's the problem? Morality does nothing for the dead, and Sisko never enjoyed any of the dark things he had to do.

Out of all the Star Trek shows, TOS had the best easily underestimated but surprisingly dangerous antagonist in the incomparable Harry Mudd!

I was always sorry that one of the feature films didn't include him.

I think when TNG was in development, they considered bringing back Mudd in some fashion, but Carmel's death kind of put an end to that idea. (Although eventually of course Rainn Wilson appeared as a younger Mudd in Discovery).

I think a few of the movie-era TOS comics and novels also brought back Mudd as well.

I strongly feel Discovery had by far the best Mudd episode though.

Or worst. There's lovable rogue and then there's mass murdering psychopath.

I don't think he was ever all that lovable.

Neither do I but most fans seem to deem him such. Mudd was a psycho in TOS and this was just made far more explicit in STD with his sadistic temporal killing spree and insane plan to hand the Federation over to the cannibal rapist Klingons.

Out of all the Star Trek shows, TOS had the best gangsters (A Piece of the Action).

Out of all the Star Trek shows, Deep Space Nine had the best Trill.

Out of all the Star Trek shows, Enterprise had the best Andorians.
