Agreed. Knowing they have 5 issues to tell a complete, self-contained story has got to be easier on a writer than wondering if they're going to get a second or third arc to pull the trigger on character development.

I'll just wait for the reviews and summaries and then will decide if I should get the tpb.

My issue with the focus on miniseries is that, to me, it seems to indicate a lack of a strong, clear, and cohesive direction for the X-line as a whole. They seem to be just throwing random ideas at wall to see what sticks. I'm also confused as to how and why they choose what is called an ongoing and what is a mini. Why is Domino an ongoing, but New Mutants isn't?

So I take it you haven't read Secret Warriors or Kingpin?

Yes I haven't. So I take he's good with those books. Which is understandable. Milligan was good with X-Force/X-Statics and wasn't good with the core book.

I read Secret Warriors. It ranged from barely tolerable to horrible. Overall, it just had zero reason to exist.

Although i'm not sure what to make of that Rosenberg interview, i'm still very excited about this.. And i hope it's well received so it can lead to a new X-Factor book.

This seems like the most logical answer. If we'd done that with PR, a lot of us could've saved some money.

This is why I felt nothing when he died in Death of X. He's way too easy to kill off and resurrect.

I like him... Is he good again?

Just teasing. I thought his "4 Kids walk into a Bank" was brilliant. I loved "Kingpin" also. Phoenix was good. I really like "Secret Warriors" but I'm a huge Karnak and Ms. Marvel fan so I was pre disposed to like it.

I've heard the "book had no reason to exist" phrase before. What does it mean? I don't understand. Can anyone who has used it explain what they mean?

Ah well, at least Siryn and maybe Wolfsbane will show up
I bet you're right that it doesn't pass 11 issues.

Because, you know, it's a limited series and all...

The sass is real. I wasn’t aware it was a miniseries when I posted this.

OK, to each its own. I thought it was a charming book with some very effective humor that would work well in a Multiple Man book.
