This thread gave me the inspiration to go out and buy a couple of bottles to sample tonight (I'm not working tomorrow). I'm gonna try an ale I've never sampled before:

Man, now I want that honey beer thing.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

For my lunch break at work on Fridays I used to like to get a pork burrito and wash it down with a Fat Tire Amber Ale on tap at a local mexican restaurant. But it got shut down for hiring illegals.

This was quite nice. That picture is rather misleading though.

'Atlantic' is a pale ale. It's appearance is clear and blonde, even fresh from pouring. The picture above makes it look cloudy and malty.

One of my go-to brews, whenever available: Dirty Bastard, a Scotch-style ale (wee heavy) from Founders brewery, Grand Rapids, MI. Their even stronger variant, Backwoods Bastard, is a genuine taste treat, but unfortunately it's available only a few months every year.

If I'm not mistaken there seismic-2, that there is a Newcastle Brown Ale glass?

Another great drop. One that I don't avail myself of often enough now that I think about it.

Look at what's behind it. Dark Grey.

You mean the background reflected in the drink itself? Maybe that's a factor in how the picture turned out.

It was a much blonder drink in reality though. That's a promotional photo and a little unrepresentative. Nice stuff though and I'd recommend it.

Yeah, what's behind a beer is going to change how light or dark it looks.

It is a good beer. When I was in the Navy the base port for our ship was Subic Bay and San Miguel, being a Filipino beer, was the only beer we could buy that was fresh. All the other beers had preservatives.
Plus it was cheaper, a bottle cost about the equivalent of a nickle.

Ah, Founders Dirty Bastard. The very 1st craft beer I ever tried.

I love a lot of beers. We have a ton of craft breweries here, so I'm pretty spoiled. I can't even list all the beers I love from the amazing breweries here.

What do you guys think of sour style beers? I find them gross, but some people really like that style.
