How about these as more concrete examples:

    • Fleischer Superman cartoon shorts
    • The New Adventures of Superman Filmation 1966
    • Superman movie Christopher Reeve 1978
    • Superman Ruby Spears 1988
    • Superman the Animated Series 1996

For sake of comparison, what was Superman's power level in these?
    Hmm

Fleischer Superman cartoon shorts - Original Golden Age
Earthbound leaping, can be knocked down but still invulnerable

The New Adventures of Superman Filmation 1966 - Post CoIE
Takes effort to move the Washington monument after a slight power drain, takes at least ten seconds to fly to Mexico and effort to rip off mountain top.

Superman movie Christopher Reeve 1978 - Bronze Age
Really just because of the feat at the end.

Superman Ruby Spears 1988 - Post CoIE
Tricky, I don't think what he did was much in line with the comics. Swam in lava, saved a ship from Earth orbit. Dealt with a mock Skyhook, Cybron the Brainiac rip, and corporate Lex goons.

Superman the Animated Series 1996 - Golden Age
But with flight. Otherwise, stymied by Earth robots, doesn't leave atmosphere under his own power, typically lifts vehicles and structures overhead to show strength.

Story breaking power, especially to other heroes or anti heroes in the DCU, he holds back all the time and brings out the equivalent dues ex machina of op opponents out of no where.

Personally, I wish I could split my vote!

Good to know. Thank you both.

I asked this because I'm sure all Superman fans have watched these animations and the movie.

I went with New 52 levels. It was tough to decide. Though New 52 was a big power up to Kal. When it came to raw physical power, Kal was clearly the top. He almost slipped back into Silver Age levels. This is the guy who benched the weight of the Earth for 5 straight days and escaped a black hole. His feats were truly super. I like Superman who's insanely powerful.

I can't remember for sure, but wasn't it The New Adventures of Superman where Superman pushes the Earth out of the way of a death ray or something?

I saw something of a clip on that on YouTube, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see his powers fluctuate in that show. From throwing the abominable iceman (is snowman licensed?) millions of miles through space to that hilarious fight with Mr. Mist as Superboy in the museum.
