So just to be clear, are you actually trying to argue Storm's durability in general is not that of a human being more or less? I know this is "Storm fans post a ton of out of context giant respect thread images", but all the same, worth clarifying.

No, no...just givining a pic where being set on fire didn't kill her. It was more to counter the set on fire posts.

On the other hand, her durability against elemental attacks can vary depending the writer.

Anyway, rolling by the standards of evidence some people seem to have in this thread, the two start facing each other. What especially stops Doom from just thinking and doing the ovoid mind transfer? At that point Storm is in the body of a guy with power armor she has no idea how to use, whereas Doom is in a body with thought activated mutant powers that people are arguing can no totally eventually take Doom out. Also he retains all his magical knowledge since that comes with his consciousness and isn't some genetic part of his body. Of the two people now in this situation, which will figure out how to end the other person first?

So, let's try this again because that was you contradicting yourself from one sentence to the next. For purposes of this fight are you actually arguing that Storm is functionally able to be set on fire like nothing or not? Out of curiosity besides, was Storm still in the fight after said being set on fire? In fact just to skip ahead, issue number for that scan?

Okay, I'm going to go on an side bit for a minute. This is always how this sort of thing goes. Someone on this board posts a thread with Storm in it. Someone says Storm loses or even just might lose. This immediately drags out people who never otherwise post on this board much at all or ever again once the thread ends and until something else with the word "Storm" in it happens to start posting at length "nuh uh!"/giant no context scans for which other people have to provide context, because some on the internet dared say Storm loses at a thing. The posts generally are in functional derision of the board, the handy FAQ at the top of "this is how we weigh things", the posts people make, what have you, and they're basically just a bunch of giant scans and posts like this. And basically that's all the replies become, and that's all the thread then is.

I have to ask... what's the point? You guys don't have much regard or like for this place, you don't really engage in the thread in any different way than noted as far as responses to people. Is it actually that bothersome that someone, somewhere, in a place none of you really frequent, said something about Storm you don't like. "Look at the way I'm goofin on this guy's posts on this dumb place, lol!", what is that other than trolling man? Which again, what's the point? I know the point of why people who post here generally do, they like doing niche nerd debates with enough structure that usually avoids... threads like these.

You guys though? It's taking headspace out of your day in a way that just escapes me. I know, it's the internet, it's what people do on the internet, it's just something I can never really fathom. There's a reason why by this point of these threads multiple posts in this thread are just people groaning that someone made a thread with Storm in it, because they always go how they go, near without fail, for a long, long while now. It's like how for years people used to really, reallllly dread DBZ threads being made on the board (myself included), but at least that kinda came to an ultimate resolution and those threads go a lot better these days, by most people's estimation. Here? You could get a bot to do the core of most of these posts for the same experience.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is.. that people keep trying to engage you guys anyway within terms like "that showing seems off" or "things Doctor Doom can do" or "certainly those might be low showings for Storm by reasonable standards, but this is why the following is a low showing for Doom by those standards", it's not actually that we don't get what's behind your posts, especially with stuff that boils down to an actual near verbatim statement of "lol educate these fools", we sure do. It's that we're trying anyway to act like we're still doing the curated nerd debate thing done on the board because that's what we gather unto this place to do, regardless of how interminable a thread might get turned into.

Storm is not actually harmed by a bunch of geeks on a niche corner of the internet having a niche debate about why she might not be able to beat whatever character.

Agreed, his specialist shields have also done crazy stuff like stop Magneto from being able to effect him.

He has tech and magic, doesn't matter how fast Storm is she has no real physical defense and absolutely no defense against magic.

She's a glass cannon and Doom pretty resourceful and fast. Not to mention he's basically immune to elemental attacks which is all Storm has.

As OP I just wanted to say my intention was not to start any trouble here. I post infrequently but I have been reading rumbles with occasional small participation for 10 years now.

This came from a friendly argument with a guy I know with me taking Doom's side and him taking Storm's. He made some compelling arguments (even though I still am heavily on Doom's side) so I decided to see what the rumbles folks had to say about it.
