Default Are they gonna release a Golden Age Omnibus of Shazam anytime soon ?

I would really like to have a collected edition of the earliest golden age Shazam comics.
Well there are a few around like the "archive editions" but they don't seem to be in very good condition on Amazon. The covers displayed there seems kinda worn out. Any other collected edition, that aren't too expensive and has most of the 40s / 50s stuff along with his debut story?

    Thanks.

I've pushed for this, emailed DC about doing this.

We shall see. It will be a travesty and diss if DC doesn't Omnibus some Golden Age Captain Marvel (Shazam).

    My fake cover mock up:

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

I wish! I have the archives, but they don't go near up to covering Captain Marvel Adventures #22, which launched the long running "Monster Society of Evil" story arc which continued for two years in Captain Marvel Adventures, ending with issue #46.

Really the best of that franchise. (although there is some cultural/ethnic insensitive material)
Never had the hardcover^ reprint of that arc, but have read it on-line, and it really is Captain Marvel at it's whimsical best!
Collected in an omnibus is long overdue.

Same here, I have the Archives, but I'd love to keep on reading Captain Marvel's adventures.

Some suspect that DC is reluctant to release the Golden Age collection becuse they feature extremely racist characterizations, with characters like Steamboat and Nippo.

They talk about it a bit in this section of the Oral History of Captain Marvel/Shazam:

They damn well should. I'd love to buy them.

This is also true. Though to be fair, Wonder Woman's Golden Age collections still get released and they have some cringe worthy things in there as well. Probably not the same prominence as Steamboat (who is just...awful), but still. They still come with the warning of "The comics presented in this volume were produced in a time when racism played a larger role in society and popular culture, etc." I think the Shazam omnibus can get away with it as long as they put that in there. Preferably in MUCH bigger font though, because Steamboat warrants it.
