Default How does "Holy __________, Batman!" translate into other languages?

In countries wherein English is the dominant language, Robin's proclamations of "Holy, _________________ Batman!" in the old comic books and TV show of the 1960s is a popular running joke and cultural meme. BATMAN, of course, has long been popular internationally, and the old TV show and comics were translated into different languages for local consumption. How did the translators in other countries and regions translate Robin's "Holy ______________, Batman!" expressions into the local lingo? Did they even try?

    Not very well.

And IIRC very inconsistantly. Thank god we don't usually dub stuff but subtitle it.

In the German dub of the 1960s show, the "Holy _______, Batman!" proclamations were translated literally in most cases. Whoever was in charge of the German translation of Batman Forever mistook "holy" for "holey".

That wasn't a mistake. The next lines go:

    Batman: "What?"

Robin: "This island; it's metal and full of holes."

I suspect that the pun is not translatable.

Ah, my bad then. Just a pun that got lost in translation.

In the greek accent it goes like this
    Ma th pisth moy, Batman.
The ''ma th pisth moy'' is a greek quote which expresses the individual's surprise when he/she sees something scary or when he/she is got by surprise or when he's frustated with something.

Goodness that brings back memories. We got the same version in Puerto Rico.
