Default DEADPOOL Gets a 'Fresh Start' From SKOTTIE YOUNG & NIC KLEIN

Figured I would make this its own thread. I'm not super excited by this. But I'm willing to give it a chance. Klein's art was very good looking in Image's Drifter. I'm not sure I've read anything by Skottie Young though.

Haven't read enough of Skottie to judge. Certainly will give him at least an arc.

Young is a much better artist than he is writer, at least when it comes to his superhero stuff (I haven't read any of his creator-owned work). Most of his Marvel work has been 'meh', and there were a couple bits that went so heavy on character in service of story instead of the other way around that it just ruined the short. I'd be interested to see him draw a Deadpool book, but I don't care if he's writing one.

Yeah, I always think of Skottie Young as an artist first. Not to say he shouldn't pursue writing if he wants to; that's cool. Lot of uncertainty in Deadpool's future. Hopefully it's a hit and we get a little more information as we make our way towards the summer.

Wow i didn't see this one coming. And it's coming in May even though it wasn't on the solicitations!!

I don't think i've read anything from Young so i've no idea what to expect of it, i'll probably check out his Rocket Racoon since he said it will have a similar vibe.

I do like that we're getting it in May! That's true. Won't have to wait as long.

Young's Rocket Racoon has an average of 8.0 on comicbookroundup.com. An 8.3 from the fans. So that's encouraging.

If you look at Young’s I Hate Fairyland, this makes perfect sense.
