Just read issue two. Bob being an idiot by having the device at his apartment with no security and Stark and Knight letting him keep the device is breaking my suspension of disbelief. It ruined what should have been a good reveal.

To be fair, iI think it's a bit clear that this is how Bob wanted it.

He wanted a 'mundane and normal life'. That means no guards, no nothing. No additional stressors. I think there's ample evidence of that and that's why Misty and Tony they reacted like they did.

My read was along that line, as well. If the situation was going to wind up along those lines(the device securely locked away), Bob probably should have just checked himself into some sort of an institution.

Exactly. Bob wanted it this way. As soon as it went afoul, they yanked his chain and pulled him in.

OMG!

This was /great/. Lemire is doing a fantastic job with the Sentry and it's a shame this only getting five, from what we've seen so far. I want to see where he's going from here!

So, spoilers:

Bob is confronted by Iron Man (who he's easily dispatching) on his quest to find the missing confluctor while Bob contends with Cranio in Sentry World. Billy joins the fight, proclaiming himself the 'new Sentry', and is still dismissed by Stark much to his rage and he begins a vicious beatdown of the Sentry, who in desperation, reaches out to the Void for help. Bob realizes that he's sick and that a sick man should never have the kind of power he does have, but that he also needs to stop denying that the Void is part of who he is. Finally accepting this truth, Bob, Void and Sentry merge into a single whole, complete with a made over costume that actually looks pretty dang nice!

I really hope that we get to see more of what Lemire has planned for Bob after this as this new status quo seems like a definite huge step forward for the character, though I have concerns.
