Default Rank your favorite superhero films

I wanted to make a poll so that one can vote for one's favorite superhero film. But i was amazed by the number of choices i could put in there. So, i changed my idea for now and decided to make a simple thread asking you to rank your top ten superhero movies of all time. It doesn't matter if its DC or Marvel or others. Simply rank them into top 10. And if one wishes one may expand further. Go to top 20 or even 25.

So what are your top ten superhero films? And rank them.

Personally i am amazed by the kind of films we have got within the last two decades. Spider-man 2 is at the bottom half of top ten! I think i would have stretched to complete a top five back then. Bringing films which i thought were simply okay so as to make a top five.

And making this list is like a snapshot in time. Who knows what the list could be a year later, let alone five or ten years. We are living in the golden age of superhero films.

    So, here's my top ten.

    1. Logan
    2. Dark Knight
    3. Captain America: Civil War
    4. X-Men: First Class
    5. Avengers
    6. Superman
    7. Captain America: Winter Soldier
    8. Spider-man 2
    9. Batman Begins
    10. X-Men: Days of Future Past

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Its so cool to see Spider-man 2 at the top. Its among the best comic book films of all time. It always has a special place in my heart. The reason i couldn't place it at the top was because i love the others more. (lol. its such an obvious statement to make). Its cool to see Captain America The First Avenger. I really liked the film. In my opinion the best 1st phase MCU film before Avengers is a toss up between Thor and Captain America.

Let no one take issue with my liking something from your list. This thread is not meant to judge anyone's taste or something like that. Everyone's list along with their rankings are cool. Its that childlike giddy feeling in discovering that there is something which i like so much is acknowledged by someone other then me.

Of course. My list is also subject to change. Especially ranking wise. With more reflection or newer films such a list and particularly its ranking can change. In fact, the reason why i wanted to make this thread was when i realized that i love Logan 'slightly' more then Dark Knight. Dark Knight was my favorite for ten long years. Before that Spider-man 2 was my favorite for good three to four years.

After watching Logan the second time, for the first time i realized that here's a film which has come close enough to Dark Knight for me. For a while i couldn't decide which is my favorite. And yesterday i watched that scene of Logan (at the good ol' Youtube) where Charles calls Logan a disappointment. That's so raw and cuts far deeper then any superhero film for me. For all the awesomeness of Dark Knight it was not this personal and thus it hits so close to home. About fathers and sons. The whole film is about that, but that particular scene takes away that sheen of safety and comfort which one might have while watching a superhero film and makes it feel so visceral and real as if something has died inside. Just like a small kid might have when his or her pet dies and the ugliness of the cold world is right in front of one's eyes.

I haven't cried while watching a film yet. That pet example may have been more accurate then. But scenes like that can choke one with emotion.
