Hmm, good point. I guess I’m used to Artemis being a thing after Diana’s been WW but the ‘09 film did make her a contemporary of Hippolyta and Diana’s senior.

DeConnick did another interview (so recent that the hosts have all read the issue). Anyways, y'all know how this goes.

-In addition to her thoughts on the movie, another reason for her interest in this project was because she's generally been more interested in the Amazons than Wonder Woman
-Gene Ha's pages are mostly done (uncolored) and like Jimenez's tear sheets in the back of his issue, Ha will have a map of the kingdom/land of the Amazons and where each individual tribe resides in it.
-Demeter and Hera are her favorite characters to write in this. There's a scene with Athena and Hera that she loves.
-There's one scene with Heracles (who should be in this) that DeConnick wanted to include but will be in the third book.
-Hippolyta's intro scene is pretty heart-wrenching apparently.
-Olympus will be really funky (think Perez's MC Escher's Olympus but even more).
-Not really related but apparently Rucka has an unused Medusa story (not sure if it's WW related) that's apparently really good.
-There will be no references to other DC properties that would have been around at the time (Atlantis, Shazam, Krypton, etc).
-lol, apparently one of her kids is the big influence for Artemis' personality.
-There will be be some pretty graphic violence near the end of book but nothing really sexual.

I can see why but...thats pretty sad. Diana always playing 2nd fiddle to someone.

eh, it's not that unusual. I've met plenty of fans are who are like that with other DC characters like some who like Krypton over Superman, the Corps over any individual human GL, the Bat-family over Batman himself, etc.
